Ten Little Indians

Ten guests travel by aerial tramway to a snowbound mansion, invited by the enigmatic Mr. Owen. They quickly discover that none has actually met Owen, and even the staff behave as if they’ve never heard of him. The foyer and bedrooms are decorated with framed copies of Ten Little Indians and a tray of ten figurines, hinting at a sinister pattern to come.

That night, Grohmann activates a hidden tape recording at exactly 9 p.m., revealing himself as a mouthpiece for Owen. The voice accuses each guest of responsibility for the deaths of innocent people they were involved with. The revelation unsettles the group as they realize a ritual judgment is being imposed on them.

One by one, the guests are targeted. Mike Raven chokes to death after drinking, and a small Indian figurine is broken from the centerpiece as a grim clue. The killer follows the nursery rhyme's pattern, heightening paranoia and fear.

At dawn the tram cable is found cut, and Mrs. Grohmann is killed while trying to escape the chalet. The death confirms the killer can reach beyond the mansion’s walls. The survivors prepare for a search, which leads them toward the mansion’s catacombs.

General Mandrake leads a search through the chalet's catacombs, pairing guests to watch each other’s backs. He is stabbed to death after being lured to a distraction—a cat—leaving the others to navigate without his leadership. The pattern of deaths continues to mimic the rhyme while trust evaporates.

Ann Clyde grows close to engineer Hugh Lombard, and the two start a cautious alliance to uncover the killer. They exchange theories and share suspicions, though no one can be certain who is still deceiving them. The sense of who Owen might be becomes a central question for the group.

Grohmann attempts to escape down Devil's Leap, but his lifeline is severed with an axe, sealing his fate. The other guests witness the fall as fear tightens its grip around the house. The murder count climbs while the remaining members scramble for safety and answers.

Ilona confesses to driving her husband to suicide, but she is found dead in her bedroom from a syringe, suggesting the killer is masking personal guilt in every victim. The circle tightens as alibis crumble and the rhyme's symbolism feels everywhere. The dangerous game pushes the survivors toward desperation.

With the generator failing, the mansion slides into darkness and suspicion escalates. Each person accuses others while fear and fatigue erode their defenses. The group braces for more revelations as the unknown killer remains among them.

During dinner, accusations spill out as the survivors tell their versions of guilt. Ann discovers an Indian decoy hung from the ceiling, intensifying the dread. Judge Cannon is found shot, suggesting another staged death within the game.

Hugh Lombard's true identity is revealed: he is really Charles Morley, who took Lombard's place to uncover why a friend killed himself. Ann and Morley form a fragile partnership, trading secrets and cautiously trusting one another. The mystery narrows as they prepare for the final confrontation.

Morley reappears alive, and the confrontation reaches its climax as Morley dies and Cannon realises his plan has failed. Ann and Morley share a brief kiss in relief just before the last truths settle in. They glimpse the cat with the fruit tray and see only two Indian figurines still attached, signaling the grim fate of the others.
