Tarzan Triumphs

During World War II, Tarzan and his son Boy live on the Great Escarpment while Jane tends to her sick mother in Britain. Jane's letter to Tarzan and Boy describes the ongoing struggle against Nazi Germany and the widening war beyond their jungle home. The backdrop of global conflict underlines the danger they will soon face.

A small force of German paratroopers lands in Sub-Saharan Africa to establish Palandrya as an advance base and to enslave its people. Lieutenant Schmidt is separated from the others but has a shortwave radio to contact Berlin. He then convalesces at Tarzan's camp, where he reveals to Tarzan that he is English.

Schmidt’s presence becomes known as he recovers at Tarzan’s camp. He uses his radio to communicate with Berlin, and Tarzan begins to suspect that the German officer is not what he seems. The uneasy dynamic at Tarzan’s camp foreshadows the coming clash.

Germans kill Zandra's brother Achmet, triggering her escape. She finds Tarzan and discloses the Germans’ presence in the area. Tarzan deduces that Schmidt is the German officer and the threat to their people grows.
