Suzzanna: Buried Alive

Satria, director of a cable factory, refuses to grant wage raises to Umar and Jonal, setting a tone of conflict with his employees. The decision foreshadows later tensions that will lead to a dramatic break-in at his home.

While Satria is away on a business trip, Umar and Jonal recruit Dudun and Gino to plan a burglary of his residence. The planning takes place in the workers' dormitories near the factory, signaling the group's intent to strike at his personal life.

During the break-in, Suzzanna returns to the house and unknowingly confronts the intruders. She is accidentally impaled on a sharp bamboo pole, and the burglars believe she is dead and begin to bury her.

Suzzanna regains consciousness, discovers she has become a sundel bolong, and grapples with her new supernatural state. She begins to haunt and stalk the men who attacked her.

The servants notice Suzzanna's changed nature, and she allows them to leave the house unharmed. Her presence unsettles the household as she asserts her otherworldly power.

Suzzanna begins chasing the killers, luring Dudun from his dormitory into the factory where she decapitates him. The other conspirators realize they are dealing with something supernatural.

Umar, Jonal, and Gino seek help from witch doctor Mbah Turu. He explains that a sundel bolong cannot kill directly, but can manipulate others to kill themselves or each other.

Suzzanna haunts Jonal, who stabs her in desperation and discovers he has killed Gino instead. This accident reveals the peril of confronting her and deepens the conspirators' panic.

The conspirators decide to destroy Suzzanna's home and kill Satria, whom they see as her anchor on Earth, and they stage an exorcism to cover their crime. The plan crystallizes as they fear the consequences of her haunting.

Gossip about Suzzanna's hauntings reaches Satria, and his suspicions deepen. When she reacts painfully to his reading from the Quran, he uncovers her buried body, confirming her supernatural state.

A mob driven by Umar and Jonal arrives at the house, burning it to the ground. They drive a kris into Suzzanna's head to incapacitate her, attempting to push the exorcism plot forward.

The attackers stage an exorcism to frame the events as demonic possession. In the moment of ritual, Satria realizes the murderers are his wife's killers and frees Suzzanna from their trap.

Jonal and Turu flee into the woods as Satria confronts Umar, killing him but taking a fatal stab wound himself. Suzzanna then drives Turu to impale himself on a tree branch, eliminating another threat.

Suzzanna finishes Jonal by burying him alive, severing her ties to the Earth by killing a human. She dies in Satria's arms, and Satria soon after follows, reuniting with his wife in the afterlife.
