Susan’s Plan

Susan Holland, a suburban housewife, develops a plan to kill her wealthy husband Paul to collect his life insurance. She enlists the help of her lover Sam Meyers to find hitmen who can make the murder look like a mugging gone wrong. The scheme hinges on deceiving Paul and exploiting his wealth to ensure a payout.

Sam Meyers brings in two inept criminals, Bill and Steve, and helps secure their involvement in the murder-for-hire. Susan intends to pay them to kill Paul and make the crime look like an attempted mugging. This arrangement sets the wheels in motion for the doomed first attempt.

Bill and Steve shoot Paul outside his car in a parking lot, but Paul survives and is rushed to the hospital. The botched attempt exposes the plan's fragility and motivates Susan to keep pursuing her murder.

Facing the hospital aftermath, Susan hires Bob the biker to finish the job while Paul is recovering. Bob's assignment expands the network of killers and adds a new layer to the plot.

Bob enlists Betty Johnson, a former prostitute, to seduce Dr. Chris Stillman and facilitate moving Paul to a private hospital room. The seduction is designed to create the opportunity for Bob to isolate Paul and kill him.

Betty's scheme succeeds and Dr. Stillman moves Paul to a private room. The arrangement sets the stage for Bob to carry out the planned murder with fewer obstacles.

Detective Scott begins to suspect Susan of involvement in the murder plot. His investigation adds pressure and foreshadows exposure of the conspiracy.

Penny, Sam's ex-wife, learns about the life insurance plot and wants in on a share of the money. This revelation introduces a potential betrayal and further destabilizes the conspirators' plans.

Bill and Steve press Susan for payment despite their failure to kill Paul. Their threats heighten the tension and risk of the scheme unraveling.

Bob sneaks into Paul's hospital room and murders him by smothering him with a pillow. He escapes quickly, leaving the plan partially realized but still vulnerable to discovery.

The next day, Detective Scott and several officers arrive after hospital security cameras captured the events. Susan, Sam, Bill, Steve, and Penny are arrested as evidence links them to the murder plot.

Bob arrives at Susan's house and tries to flee, opening fire on pursuing officers. He is shot and killed while escaping, and Steve is killed by a stray bullet in the crossfire.

Betty escapes and disappears from the investigation, later resurfacing in Las Vegas as a casino cocktail waitress under a new alias. She enjoys her freedom while the rest of the conspirators face prison.

The bodies of Paul, Bob, and Steve lie in the local morgue as investigators close the case. Meanwhile, Susan, Sam, Bill, and Penny begin their prison sentences.

Dr. Chris Stillman visits Betty at the casino with his wife and recognizes her, recalling their prior encounter. Fearing his wife’s reaction, he pretends not to know her and keeps his distance, letting Betty continue her new life in Vegas.
