A meteor storm batters the lunar mining base Ark, causing structural damage and cutting the crew off from outside help. The event sets the stage for stress, equipment failures, and a desperate fight to survive in a closed environment.

While inspecting the debris, Ava Cameron uncovers spores contained in one fragment. She brings the fragment back to the base for further investigation, sparking concerns about contamination and unknown life forms.

The medical officer observes the spores multiplying at an alarming rate. Ava becomes increasingly contaminated as the spores take hold inside her, raising the stakes for the crew's safety and the mission's viability.

Signs of a rapidly advancing pregnancy appear in Ava, catching everyone off guard. A few hours later, she goes into labour, forcing the crew to confront an unknown threat while handling the birth under emergency conditions.

The life form slips from containment and escapes the lab. The other crew members refuse to believe Ava's warnings, attributing her pregnancy to a cyst rather than a real alien presence.

The creature pursues Johns, eventually taking his shape and using it to murder him. The threat grows closer as it mimics a human presence to hide among the crew.

Using notes left by Johns, Ava and Col. Brauchman attempt to understand the alien and plot a counterstrike. They learn that the Johns alien and Ava can sense and locate each other, a troubling vulnerability they might exploit.

The Johns alien sabotages the life support, opening risks of a catastrophic air collapse. The crew scrambles to diagnose leaks and stabilize the base while facing dwindling oxygen.

During the sabotage, the alien manipulates an airlock and kills Dr. Krauss. The loss depletes morale and compels the remaining two to take drastic action.

Ava and Brauchman decide to prep the escape pod and separate themselves from the Johns alien, planning to kill it with rising carbon monoxide. They push power to the pod to ensure escape and survival if the plan works.

As the carbon monoxide levels increase toward 80%, the Johns alien develops growths that allow it to persist. The anomaly shows a dangerous resilience, complicating the escape plan.

The Johns alien hijacks the escape pod, turning the evacuation into a hostage-like standoff. Brauchman broadcasts a warning to Earth from the rescue ship, urging them to kill anything found in the pod.

With oxygen running out, a rescue ship arrives from Earth and the pair sprint for the rescue shuttle. They prepare to abandon Ark in a final bid for survival as the base’s power drains.

The escape pod lands on Earth, but the alien has already escaped the base and continues to evolve. The threat survives the mission and begins a new phase of growth in a new world.
