Spy School

Thomas gets into a fight with another student in the hallway and Principal Hampton intervenes to separate them. The moment establishes his pattern of troublemaking and introduces the authority figures who will keep an eye on him. It sets the tone for the school environment that frames the rest of the story.

Thomas is placed in detention with Mrs. Bleckner for goofing off. He resents the punishment and searches for a way to escape. The detention scene sets up his willingness to break rules when given the chance.

In detention, Mrs. Bleckner leaves to finish her nails and hair, giving Thomas a chance to slip out. He heads toward the library to read and talk with others. On his way, he overhears an unseen figure discussing a plot to kidnap the president's daughter on a cellphone, which terrifies him.

Thomas explains what he overheard to FBI agent Randal, who claims to be investigating the case. Randal and Thomas then join forces with Albert, another FBI agent, to pool their information. The trio begins to uncover connections between the plot and the upcoming dance.

Randal, Albert, and Thomas deduce that the kidnapper plans to strike during the upcoming school dance. They realize the stakes are high and the attack could happen at any moment. They start coordinating a plan to prevent it.

Thomas invites his best friend Jackie to join the investigation, but Principal Hampton and Mrs. Bleckner eject them from the building. They decide to continue the search anyway, defying the rules. The scene reinforces their determination to take matters into their own hands.

Thomas, Jackie, and later Albert slip back into the school gym for clues, moving carefully through the crowd. The tense atmosphere increases as they search for anything suspicious. Their determination grows as the dance approaches and the danger looms.

Randal independently spots the unseen kidnapper on campus. The kidnapper panics and attacks him with a broom, dragging him away. The incident raises the stakes and pulls the FBI deeper into the investigation.

Mrs. Bleckner, patrolling the halls, follows banging noises to a janitor's closet and finds Randal bound and gagged. She frees him, and they hurry to stop the janitor.

Randal and Mrs. Bleckner rush to the dance floor and reveal that the janitor is the kidnapper. He grabs the president's daughter and bolts from the room. The pursuit escalates as they chase him toward the exterior.

Albert, Randal, Thomas, and Jackie pursue the janitor onto a helicopter outside the school. They work together to keep him in sight as the aircraft lifts off.

Thomas jumps onto the helicopter, sneaks up on the janitor, and knocks him out. He then takes control and puts the helicopter on autopilot, steering toward safety.

A SWAT team and the National Guard arrive and secure the president's daughter. Thomas and the team are celebrated as heroes as the town erupts in a large celebration.
