The next sequence reveals a chilling twist: Farley arrives in a sleek black limousine and abducts Amelia, insisting that her father has a surprise for her and presenting a manipulated video to seal the deception. Amelia, young but perceptive, trusts the video long enough to go with Farley, who claims this is a top-secret government program in Japan. He has even built a full-scale model of Amelia’s drill, though it isn’t functioning properly, and Amelia throws herself into the work of getting it to operate.

Back home, Mike receives a troubling package—a video of Farley—accompanied by a stark demand: Farley promises no harm to Amelia if Mike stays quiet. Mike acts quickly, reaching out to Edith and Minkey and convincing them to come out of retirement for Amelia’s sake. Minkey’s circus friends are recruited as a new cadre of spies, and Edith brings the performers up to speed on the mission. The backstory of Minkey unfolds: genetically enhanced and trained as part of operation SPYMATE, he became a target when Russians moved in, and Mike was ordered to terminate him. Yet Minkey’s astonishing combat prowess convinced Mike to choose him as a partner, a decision that will prove pivotal as events accelerate toward crisis.

The team tracks Dr. Amour to the truth of Farley’s plan. Amour reveals Farley intends to use Amelia’s drill to bore through the Earth’s crust inside a Japanese volcano, harnessing heat from the core. Her calculations warn that such energy could unleash a colossal earthquake capable of devastating Japan. Amour agrees to guide Mike and Minkey to Farley’s drill site, and Amelia herself grows increasingly suspicious of Farley’s motives. She attempts to escape but is captured and held, while Mike, Minkey, and Amour make a perilous parachute drop into the drill site.

Inside the facility, Farley captures Amour and Mike, but Minkey escapes with the help of a Japanese ninja sensei who has waited for this moment. The sensei and his pupils brief Minkey on how to breach Farley’s lab, and they vow to assist. Farley’s threat to kill Mike and Amour if Amelia does not fix the drill sets a tense countdown in motion. Amelia, displaying resolve beyond her years, suggests damping the drill’s resonance with an elastic band—a small measure that could avert catastrophe. Farley proceeds to drill, while Hugo is ordered to eliminate Mike and Amour.

A fierce showdown follows: Mike and Amour are captured, but Minkey disables Hugo and returns to aide Amelia. Mike fights off guards as Amour and Minkey race toward the drill chamber, where Amour distracts Farley long enough for the duo to strike. They disable the guards and rescue Amelia, and reinforcements arrive as Minkey’s ninja allies drop from the ceiling to aid in the struggle. The drill is halted, but the escape is not clean; the lab destabilizes, and an explosion erupts just as they flee. Outside, Amelia looks at Mike with a new belief—she confirms that he truly is a spy, just as she always suspected—proof that their bond endures under pressure.

In the aftermath, Minkey is summoned by the highest authority for a “delicate matter,” a job description that promises further adventures for the plucky monkey. He snowboards off into the horizon, leaving the door open for more stories, though the film itself ends with a cliffhanger: Minkey is not revisited in later installments, and the fate of this particular SPYMATE-era team remains unresolved. The characters’ journeys weave courage, science, and loyalty into a sprawling, action-filled caper that keeps the spy genre’s sense of wonder alive, even as the credits roll.
