Thomas Chacko, known as Aadu Thoma, is a quarry owner and undefeated gangster who lives by his own code. In his youth he shows a knack for mechanical gadgets, even building an AM radio receiver inside a soap case, which enrages his mathematics-obsessed father. He returns fourteen years later as a hardened, conflicted man, torn between revenge and protecting his family, and he slowly reconciles with his father and sister while acknowledging his past mistakes.

Chacko Master is the stern, traditional father and former headmaster who values math and reputation. He resents Thoma for deviating from his expectations and takes steps that push Thoma toward a life of crime. His pride creates a rift with his son, but he wrestles with love and regret as the family struggles to stay together.

Mary is Thoma’s mother, caught between supporting her son and managing a troubled household. Jancy is Thoma’s sister who stands up in support of her brother amidst the family rift and social expectations.
