A young Thoma showcases mechanical talent by building an AM radio receiver inside a soap case, captivating onlookers while his father dismisses him as a failure. Ravunni, Thoma's teacher, is pressured to fail him so Chacko can push Thoma to study harder. Enraged by this manipulation, Thoma burns the answer sheet and, in a fit of anger, stabs Balu's right hand with a compass. Scorned, he runs away from the village, beginning a life apart from his father.

Fourteen years pass and Thoma comes back a changed man: a quarry owner, a lorry driver, and a gangster, far removed from his former prodigy days. His father Chacko still despises him and professes that he loves his sister more than his son. Thoma's return unsettles the family, setting the stage for new rivalries and old resentments.

Pookoya becomes Thoma's new enemy, aligning with the local sub-inspector Kuttikadan who supports Pookoya's daughter's romance with a penniless teacher. The feuds escalate as power, pride, and factional loyalties pull Thoma and his father into open conflict. Thoma's criminal past and his father's pride collide, widening the rift.

Thoma's relationship with a prostitute is exposed, bringing public shame and jeopardizing Jancy's wedding. The scandal forces Thoma into a position where he is later compelled to betray someone close to him to the police, shocking Kuttikadan with the move. The family strain deepens as Thoma's life spirals under scrutiny.

In a moment of rage, Thoma cuts off the sleeves of his father's shirts. Chacko retaliates by repainting Thoma's lorry with the word 'Chekuthan' (devil) and planting a coconut tree in front of their house named after Thoma, as a public insult. Yet Thoma's loyalty to family resurfaces when he intervenes to restore Jancy's marriage alliance.

Ravunni returns to the village with his daughter Thulasi, Thoma's childhood friend. The Vicar, Thulasi, and Vakkachan begin mediating between Thoma and Chacko, trying to secure Thoma's attendance at Jancy's wedding. Hope flickers for reconciliation as plans are drawn up.

Thoma attends Jancy's wedding, hoping for forgiveness, but is insulted by his father in front of everyone. Jancy openly chooses Thoma's small necklace over her father's dowry, a gesture gifted by Thulasi through Thoma. On the wedding day, Mary waits for the ceremony and ultimately leaves Thoma as well, tearing the family apart.

Ravunni confronts Chacko, revealing that he never truly loved anybody; his actions were a performance to degrade Thoma and control Jancy. The revelation leaves Chacko utterly alone with his pride shaken, forced to rethink his life choices.

Thoma is stabbed by Thorappan Bastin, hired by Pookoya for revenge after helping his daughter elope. Chacko visits his son in the hospital, filled with regret for the rift between them. Thoma fights for his life as medical professionals work to save him.

As Thoma heals, Thulasi's love helps him reassess his path and back away from revenge. With Thulasi's support, Chacko repaints Thoma's lorry from Chekuthan to Spadikam and even contemplates suicide, which Thoma prevents. The reconciliation begins to rebuild the broken family.

Father and son reconcile, and Thoma decides to quit his criminal life to live for his family. They bring back his mother into their fold, seeking a peaceful future away from violence.

Pookoya and Kuttikadan unite against Thoma, placing a bomb in his lorry and hoping to frame Chacko for the crime. Thoma narrowly escapes the explosion, his resolve hardening in the face of new threats.

In the final twist, Chacko is fatally shot by Kuttikadan while aiming at Thoma. Enraged, Thoma kills Kuttikadan in retaliation. He visits his father's hospital bedside before being taken into police custody on charges of killing Kuttikadan, leaving his family in tears.
