Palestinian resistance fighters disguised as Jews set off an explosion near Damascus Gate in Jerusalem and retreat to their hideout to assemble weapons. They decide to escape as IDF closes in; two men are killed, one is captured, and the lone survivor, Kassem, watches in horror as his companion is restrained. The segment ends with Kassem trapped in a crowd, facing capture.

In Paris, Victor Manzon is confronted with a fraudulent accusation tied to the Paris Stock Exchange and is given 24 hours to provide collateral. He reviews his finances, sits with his business partner, and spars with his brother-in-law as the clock ticks. The pressure sets his world spiraling toward a drastic choice.

Victor dines with his wife and her friend, clinging to a glimmer of normalcy amid the impending crisis. A note arrives that Pascal is waiting outside, and Victor learns that Pascal's father has refused help. Pascal then commits suicide, and Victor resolves to leave both his wife and the country to escape his downfall.

In Elizabeth, New Jersey, an Irish gang robs a Catholic church connected to a rival Italian Mafia crew and triggers a deadly chain of events. A priest is wounded during the heist, and the wounded brother of Carlo Ricci becomes a target. Jackie Scanlon, who drives the getaway, begins a path that will entangle him with Vinnie and Ricci.

Kassem, Victor, and Jackie assume fake identities and converge on Porvenir, a remote Central American village dependent on an American oil company. They share poverty and fragile hopes of leaving, while Nilo arrives and arouses suspicion among the locals. Márquez, a Nazi war criminal, is introduced as a dark foil to their new life.

The oil company announces four drivers will handle the transport of dangerous dynamite, and the quartet—Kassem, Victor, Jackie, and Márquez—must assemble two trucks from scrap parts. Tension rises as Nilo secretly kills Márquez and replaces him, reshaping the crew’s dynamic just before departure.

The four drivers embark on a hazardous cross-country trek, facing a rotten bridge and a violent thunderstorm that tests their cooperation. They must rely on one another despite deep mistrust, navigating treacherous terrain and springing into action when danger appears.

As the route narrows along a cliff-side road, the team uses dynamite to blast a fallen tree obstructing their path. The peril continues as their transport strains, pushing them toward a critical, life-changing moment.

A catastrophic crash sends one truck plummeting over a cliff; Kassem and Victor perish in the explosion, while Nilo is mortally wounded. Jackie survives but is left to confront the wreckage and the collapse of the dream they shared.

Jackie arrives at the destination and receives Colombian passport paperwork and payment for the work. He shares a farewell dance with a charwoman, seeking a moment of humanity amid the chaos of their world. The bar scene foreshadows a looming reckoning as danger closes in.

As Jackie and the woman dance, Carlo Ricci's henchmen emerge from a taxi along with Jackie's old ally Vinnie, entering the bar with guns drawn. The film ends with Jackie's fate left unknown, hinting at a grim, unresolved ending.
