Danielle Breton, a model and aspiring actress, is introduced as a character hired to play blind for a hidden camera program called The Peeping Toms. Her mission is to entice an insurance seller named Philip Woode into a compromising situation.

During the filming of The Peeping Toms, Philip decides not to look at Danielle in the gym's changing room, which ultimately leads both of them to win prizes from the show. Philip wins a dinner for two while Danielle receives a cutlery set.

After the game's success, Philip invites Danielle to dinner at the African Room restaurant. Despite the tension, they seem to connect and enjoy each other's company until they are interrupted by Danielle's ex-husband, Emil.

Emil confronts Danielle at the restaurant, but Philip intervenes and effectively forces Emil to leave. This action solidifies Philip's protective role over Danielle, enhancing their budding relationship.

After their dinner, Philip and Danielle head to her apartment in Staten Island. Emil, intent on causing trouble, follows them, prompting Philip to feign leaving before re-entering through the back door.

Once inside, Philip presents Danielle with a cutlery gift. The mood shifts to intimacy as they share a passionate night together on the couch, hinting at a deeper connection between them.

The next morning, Danielle wakes up feeling unwell and finds only three red pills in the medicine cabinet. She takes one, leaving two behind, unaware that Philip will dispose of them, leading to dire consequences.

When Philip returns with groceries, he presents Danielle with a birthday cake knife from the cutlery set. However, Danielle surprises him with a brutal attack, using the knife to murder him.

After being attacked, Philip attempts to crawl to the window to signal for help, writing 'HELP' in his blood. The only witness to this tragic scene is Grace Collier, a neighbor who notices his plight.

Grace, a journalist, becomes determined to uncover the truth behind Philip's disappearance. Despite the lack of evidence, her instincts push her to investigate Danielle's background and her twisted reality.

Danielle and Emil try to cover up the murder. They clean the apartment meticulously, placing the corpse in a bed-sofa while misleading Detective Kelly and Grace about the events that transpired.

Emil, who is not only Danielle's ex-husband but also her doctor, plays a crucial role in hiding evidence. He attempts to manipulate Danielle's state of mind while asserting control over her.

Realizing something is amiss, Grace enlists the help of a private detective, Joseph Larch, to investigate further. However, their search leads to dead ends as they try to find evidence of foul play.

In a chaotic twist, Emil attempts to exert control over Danielle but meets his demise during a struggle, leading to more bloodshed. Grace, still in shock, witnesses firsthand the tragedy that has unfolded.

As evidence continues to blur, Detective Kelly grapples with the mystery surrounding the murders. Grace's sanity is questioned, yet she holds onto the truth, hoping to unravel the web created by Danielle and Emil.
