Sebastian Kiran Abbavaram is a well-meaning youngster whose world revolves around his late mother Mary Rohini. Before she died, his mother urged him to guard his cop job with care by concealing one crucial detail about his own life: a hidden night-blindness that could jeopardize his work if the truth ever came out. With this quiet burden weighing on him, he begins his new posting in Madanapalle, a town nestled in the Chittoor district, carrying both duty and fear in equal measure.

Soon after, tragedy strikes the quiet neighborhood: a young housewife named Neelima Komalee Prasad is found dead, and the investigation unfolds amid a charged mix of suspicion and secrecy. The case pulls a web of people into its orbit. Neelima’s father-in-law, Dr. Chakravarthy Surya Bhagawan Das, is revealed to have troubling desires toward Neelima, and his proximity to the family complicates Sebastian’s view of who is capable of harm. At the same time, Neelima’s fiancé or love interest, Rahul Aadarsh Balakrishna—an NRI whose religious background adds another layer of tension—finds himself entangled in the case’s shifting loyalties. And then there is Heli Nuveksha, who harbors strong feelings for Rahul but, due to social and religious pressures, cannot pursue them openly; in a complex twist, Heli later marries Neelima to secure a path forward, and the narrative widens around the vow she might or might not keep in this tangled triangle.

All three central suspects—Dr. Chakravarthy, Heli, and Teja—know about Sebastian’s night-blindness. When Sebastian is assigned night duty to guard the crime scene and preserve fragile evidence at the murdered house, these suspects attempt to exploit his condition to erase or misplace crucial clues. The pressure mounts until Sebastian is suspended, yet a keen mind and steady nerve help him corner the culprits, leading to their arrest. Still, he makes a costly misstep: to protect his own job, he allows the suspects to walk free, fearing that exposing his own weakness could ruin him. The case closes without a confession, and the weight of that choice weighs heavily on him, leaving a dark cloud over what could have been justice.

Two years pass. A minor clue resurfaces, pointing to a rare poison capable of aborting a pregnancy. This surge of new evidence gives Sebastian a hard-won chance to revisit the old case with renewed resolve. He methodically tracks the threads back to Neelima’s lover and Teja—the latter described as Neelima’s close friend and confidant, and the strongest link to the chain that led to her death. The truth unravels in a tense confrontation: Teja—who was also the best friend of Sebastian—had pushed a plan that forced Neelima to leave Rahul and marry him; Neelima’s pregnancy with Rahul’s child becomes the leverage in a deadly scheme. Teja attempts an abortion by poisoning, a desperate act that ends in tragedy for Neelima as well.

As the case comes to a head, Teja reveals his own night-blindness to higher officials during the arrest process. This disclosure prompts a stern reassessment from the authorities, who side with Sebastian and recognize the courage it took to hold the line. A promotion is offered, but Sebastian steps away from the ladder of advancement. He resigns and makes a decisive choice about his future: he will leave the force and begin a new life with Heli, a woman who has undergone her own transformation and now stands by him as they chart a different course together.

In this tale, duty and desire collide against the backdrop of a police career shadowed by a hidden disability. It is a story about integrity tested under pressure, the heavy cost of quiet resilience, and the slow, patient pursuit of truth that can bend a life toward redemption.
