Rathnavel brings Bhanu to his isolated bungalow and locks her in a soundproof room. She remains imprisoned while Ravi and police are kept at bay by the ruse of Bhanu's supposed death. The claustrophobic confinement escalates the suspense.

Ravi goes to Rathnavel's house to obtain life insurance papers and uncovers a series of clues about Bhanu's fate. He distracts Rathnavel and calls the police, orchestrating a rescue. Bhanu is freed, and the truth of Rathnavel's schemes comes to light.

Rathnavel is captured and sent to a mental asylum, where he eventually hangs himself. The downfall marks the end of his terror over Bhanu and Ravi. The community is left to reflect on the case's notoriety.
