In 2003, a trio of elite African mercenaries—Chaka, Rafa, and Minuit—are tasked with extracting the notorious Mexican drug lord Felix from Bissau, Guinea-Bissau. The mission promises a lucrative reward of a briefcase filled with gold, setting the stage for a high-stakes operation.

Things take a drastic turn when sabotage leads to a leak in the mercenaries' airplane. Forced to make an emergency landing, they find themselves stranded in a secluded area in Senegal's Sine-Saloum region, far from their intended destination.

To escape the authorities and repair their damaged aircraft, Chaka guides his team and Felix to a remote retreat known as the Baobab. He claims familiarity with the place and its owner, Omar, believing it to be a safe haven.

The group's cover as gold miners quickly unravels when they encounter Omar's loyal assistant, Salamane, along with other guests who become suspicious. Tension escalates when Awa, a deaf and mute woman, signals to the Hyenas that she recognizes them, hinting at their true identities.

During a group dinner, policeman Souley confronts Felix, revealing he is aware of their true intentions and announces that his team is planning to storm the Baobab. This revelation adds urgency and peril to their already precarious situation.

Chaka takes an explosive step by confronting Omar about their shared past, revealing that he was once a child soldier under Omar’s tyrannical rule. Fueled by rage and the desire for revenge, Chaka shoots Omar with a revolver he had stolen years ago.

In a shocking twist, it becomes clear that Chaka had betrayed the team earlier by purchasing Souley’s men with Felix's gold, leaving the group vulnerable. This betrayal heightens the already intense atmosphere as chaos begins to unfold.

As sinister forces emerge, the group witnesses the shocking death of Felix, which marks the beginning of a greater terror. The survivors come to learn of Omar’s connection to the curse of Gana Sira Bana, activating an onslaught of horrors in the Sine-Saloum Delta.

In a desperate bid for survival, Rafa, Chaka, Souley, and Salamane set off to a nearby village inhabited by the Sira Bana-worshipping Diola people. Their goal is to obtain materials necessary to protect themselves from the monstrous entities attacking them.

Upon arriving at the village, Chaka uncovers children who were once imprisoned and exploited by Omar for his dark rituals. The situation turns tragic when Souley is claimed by the sinister forces, leading to despair among the remaining survivors.

On their return to the Baobab, Rafa and Chaka are met with heartbreak as they find Younce and Sephora dead. Mourning their losses, they confront Minuit's dire situation and ultimately decide to end his suffering mercifully.

With heavy hearts but a sense of urgency, Rafa and Chaka manage to secure the necessary resources to repair their plane. They escape by boat alongside Awa, hoping to flee the horrors that have plagued them, but danger looms.

As they make their escape, one of the malevolent entities, now possessing Omar's form, drags Chaka into the depths. This heart-stopping moment underscores the sacrifices made and the pervasive evil that still threatens their lives.

In the ensuing chaos, Rafa and Awa manage to evade the curse while being separated from Chaka. As they navigate their fate amidst malevolent forces, their survival remains uncertain, leaving audiences in suspense.
