Although it was originally presented in IMAX, I experienced it on DVD. The film provides a clear account of the mission; however, its appeal may be somewhat limited for viewers who lack a vested interest in the complexities of the Mars Rover project.

Despite its brief runtime, the film could have benefitted from a more narrative-driven approach, possibly including insights or personalities from notable team members, as mentioned by George Butler, the film’s writer, director, and narrator. His decision to adopt a straightforward documentary style serves space race enthusiasts well but may leave general audiences less engaged.

The venture details the impressive technology that powered the rovers, emphasizing that the collective intelligence required to build them surpasses that of any single individual—a fun, albeit trivial, tidbit.
