At the end of Rosario, it is revealed that the curse was rooted in her father, Oscar, who had made a deal with a malevolent spirit, Kobeyende, in order to secure a better future for his family. The spirit was kept at bay for years thanks to the sacrifices of Rosario’s grandmother, Griselda, who was a practicing black magic priestess. When Oscar’s blood was spilled into a ritual cauldron, Kobeyende possessed him, turning him into a vessel for the spirit. In an act of desperation, Rosario was forced to kill her father to stop the malevolent entity from wreaking havoc, ending the immediate threat and seeming to put an end to the curse.

However, despite her efforts and her apparent relief, the story takes a shocking turn. A few months later, Rosario appears to be thriving and moving forward with her life, seemingly free of the evil influence. But suddenly, during a moment of calm, a horrifying scene occurs—her mouth opens and a hand emerges, as if she is still possessed or overtaken by the spirits. The film cuts abruptly to black at that moment, suggesting that the curse is not truly over. Instead, it persists underground or unseen, hinting that the evil may always be lurking just beneath the surface, ready to return and haunt her once more. It leaves the viewer with the unsettling idea that the battle against these supernatural forces is far from finished and that Rosario’s struggle with the spirits is an ongoing, unresolved nightmare.
