The story closes with Robert in prison, still claiming to be an MI5 agent—his ongoing deception hinting that his manipulative tendencies persist even behind bars. The film’s conclusion highlights the triumph of the victims, especially Sophie, who refused to be a victim any longer, over the man who used false promises and lies to control them all.
