Return of the Living Dead II

A United States military convoy is assigned to transport hazardous Trioxin barrels. However, a mishap occurs when one of the barrels rolls off and falls into a river, unnoticed, leading to unforeseen disasters.

The next day, pre-teens Johnny, Billy, and Jesse Wilson explore an abandoned cemetery mausoleum. They discover a hidden barrel and open it, revealing a dead body and unwittingly unleashing horror as toxic gas begins to escape.

Jesse, realizing the danger of the gas, suggests contacting the military for help. However, his friends abandon him, leaving him alone in the mausoleum as the toxic gas begins to affect the area.

Grave robbers Ed and Joey, along with Brenda, arrive at the cemetery, unknowingly escalating the situation by disturbing the contents of the barrel. Their arrival coincides with the toxic gas spreading, leading to dire consequences.

As acid rain begins to fall, the corpses in the cemetery start to reanimate rapidly. The once peaceful ground becomes a battlefield as the recently risen dead claw their way out of their graves, triggering chaos.

Back at home, Jesse is burdened with homework but takes advantage of a cable repairman's visit to escape to Billy's house. He finds Billy suffering from the toxic effects of Trioxin, leading to a chilling warning about keeping their discovery a secret.

Determined to uncover the truth, Jesse returns to the mausoleum, where he faces a terrifying tar-covered zombie. This encounter heightens the tension as the threat of the undead continues to grow.

Jesse tries to warn his sister Lucy about the imminent danger but is met with disbelief. In a bid to contact Colonel Glover, their conversation is suddenly disrupted by technical failures.

Ed, Joey, and Brenda steal a van to flee from the relentless zombies but quickly find themselves in a precarious position, trapped among the undead. Their desperate attempts to escape lead to panic and chaos.

Billy faces a personal nightmare when his father falls victim to the undead. The horror intensifies as Billy's mother encounters her resurrected husband, leading to a deeply unsettling confrontation.

Jesse, Tom, and Lucy make their way to Lucy's grandfather's house to gather weapons for an impending clash with the zombies. They understand that a confrontation is unavoidable as the undead continue to swarm their area.

While seeking refuge in an empty hospital emergency room, the group's relief is short-lived. Ed and Joey begin to show signs of rigor mortis, signaling that their time may be running out.

In a fortunate turn, Jesse and his companions manage to escape in a doctor’s car but end up in a horrific misunderstanding with National Guardsmen. The soldiers mistaking them for zombies leads to a chaotic shootout.

The group retreats to a nearby meatpacking plant, where they devise a risky plan to trap the zombies. Billy's growing transformation complicates matters, providing both a threat and an unexpected twist in their strategy.

As the survivors continue to battle the relentless zombies, Colonel Glover and his troops finally arrive on the scene. Their mission is to contain the chaos and ensure the living can escape from the growing tide of the undead.
