IPT Lab contracts Tsui Hu to pilfer Nexus's wormhole research. The Nexus team, led by the Director, works on the experimental tech but finds it destabilizing, causing aggression in test animals and cellular breakdown. This sets the stage for a high-stakes kidnapping plot.

Tsui Hu kidnaps Xia Tian's son Dou Dou and gives Xia Tian one hour to deliver all the research. He pressures her, threatening Dou Dou's life. This triggers Xia Tian's desperate race to assemble the data.

Xia Tian retrieves the research but arrives too late to Tsui Hu. Dou Dou is killed by Tsui Hu, a devastating blow that confirms the stakes and fuels Xia Tian's resolve. She resolves to travel to the parallel worlds to change what happened.

Overwhelmed by grief, Xia Tian uses the particle accelerator to travel to a parallel universe. The jump sends her back in time by one hour and fifty minutes, giving her a second chance. She arrives in Universe 2 and takes her doppelgänger's place to reclaim the data.

In Universe 2, she impersonates her doppelgänger and quickly recovers Dou Dou. She hands Tsui Hu fake data to mislead him and buy time. Tsui Hu continues the pursuit, unaware of the deception.

Tsui Hu hunts the trio across Universe 2 and closes in on them. Despite the fake data, he captures Dou Dou and kills him, shattering Xia Tian's hope. Xia Tian fights on to protect her family and the data.

Xia Tian travels to Universe 3 and encounters two other versions of herself: the aggressive original (#1) and the deceitful doppelgänger (#2), along with the unchanged survivor (#3). The trio realizes they must cooperate to evade Tsui Hu and save Dou Dou. Dou Dou is eventually kept safe and sent to hospital.

The three Xia Tians uncover the Director's conspiracy with Tsui Hu, revealing he wanted punishment for Xia Tian and to force proof of the tech by kidnapping Dou Dou. The Director's betrayal explains the broader conspiracy; Tsui Hu's backstory as an IPT Lab test subject is revealed.

In a tense confrontation, Tsui Hu kills the Director and is shot by Xia Tian #1. As he dies, Tsui Hu warns that IPT Lab's test subjects turn on each other, hinting at a dangerous cycle. The immediate threat around the data is neutralized, but the tech remains volatile.

The three Xia Tians stage a final standoff in the Nexus Lab. Xia Tian #1 is killed by Xia Tian #2, who accepts she will die from cell deterioration. Xia Tian #3, the unchanged traveler, is allowed to leave for the hospital with Dou Dou.

Xia Tian #3 arrives at the hospital and is reunited with Dou Dou. The other two Xia Tians remain behind as the lab teeters on instability. This marks a fragile reconciliation and a step toward safety for Dou Dou.

Left alone in the Nexus Lab, Xia Tian #2 activates the particle accelerator as the facility is about to explode. It is unclear whether she travels to another universe or dies in the blast. The scene signals the true cost of the experiments.

A year after the events, the surviving Xia Tian is unemployed but living a happy, simple life with Dou Dou. The ending underscores a quiet, hopeful future after the turbulence of parallel worlds. The fate of the other versions remains unresolved.
