Ratchet & Clank

The nefarious Chairman Drek rallies his followers, the Blarg, to prepare for the destruction of an abandoned planet. He humorously reprimands a minion caught texting, showcasing his ruthless command over his henchmen.

In a distant part of the galaxy, Ratchet, a young lombax, is working on a spacecraft for a customer in his garage. A comedic incident occurs when he accidentally activates the ship's magnetic pull, causing chaos as various metal objects are sucked toward it, ultimately resulting in the customer's ejection mid-flight.

Ratchet idolizes the heroic Galactic Rangers, including their leader Captain Quark, who are on the lookout for new recruits. Despite his dreams of joining, his mentor Grim advises him to keep his aspirations in check to avoid disappointment.

In a twist, Drek breaks the notorious mad scientist, Dr. Nefarious, out of prison to build a robotic army to defeat the Rangers. Nefarious harbors a grudge against Captain Quark, who he blames for his imprisonment.

While aspiring to join the Rangers, Ratchet discovers an escape pod containing the small robot Clank just before it self-destructs. He rescues Clank, marking the beginning of their companionship as Ratchet names him.
