Ajay is an unemployed youth whose hot temper lands him in trouble with criminals and the law. He acts first and thinks later, beating up wrongdoers and offering unsolicited commentary on justice. His impulsive nature sets the tone for his life and the conflicts that follow.

Padmanabhan, Ajay's father who works for an insurance firm, tries to change his son's attitude through a meditation expert. The expert, however, says Ajay's anguish is reasonable, reinforcing Ajay's controversial nature rather than curing it. The father remains unhappy but hopeful for change.

Sonia Sriram is introduced to Ajay through Padmanabhan, and she falls in love with his fiery temperament. She admires his anger toward crime and sees potential in him. Ajay remains wary but intrigued as he meets her.

Sriram, Sonia's industrialist father, imposes a harsh condition: Ajay must join his DCM-Daewoo factory, maintain his temper for three months, and not get into any fight, even if he witnesses a crime. Failure means no marriage. Ajay accepts the challenge under pressure.

Ajay takes a job at the factory and begins to prove himself capable of restraint. Sonia's love deepens as she sees his willingness to change, while Sriram privately hopes he will fail the test and revert to his old ways. The tension between duty and passion grows.

Gnaneswar, Sriram's envious stepbrother, sends ten men to disrupt the factory's progress. They kill old workers and harass new hires, sowing chaos. Ajay endures the abuse while staying focused on his pledge to remain calm.

Gnaneswar's plan to cripple the plant includes damaging a crucial machine to force Korean experts to attend. The aim is to kill the experts and trigger a scandal, but Ajay helps protect them and foils the immediate crisis. Sriram publicizes the incident to fuel a confrontation, yet Ajay remains cool-headed.

Sriram publicly leverages his father's name to the media, hoping to turn the workers against Ajay. Instead, the tension spirals and the press highlights the growing rift at the factory. Ajay's restraint continues to confound Sriram's scheming.

Ten of Sriram's men brutally murder Ajay's father after the media meddling suggests a link to him. The family is shattered as Padmanabhan is killed, triggering Ajay's fury and marking a turning point where his promise is tested to the limit.

Enraged by his father's death, Ajay breaks his promise and banishes the ten men from the factory. He asserts his power and vows to address the injustice, altering the uneasy balance at the plant. Sonia watches, torn between loyalty and love.

Gnaneswar escalates his vendetta by threatening Sonia and coercing her to leave Ajay through coercive means. He manipulates the situation to force Sonia into taking drastic steps that would cripple the factory. The danger tightens around Sonia as the plot thickens.

In the final showdown, Gnaneswar kills Sriram by throwing him from a helicopter, and then perishes when his own helicopter crashes into the mountains. Sonia survives and ends up reuniting with Ajay, having endured the peril and concluded their love story.
