Rahul murdered Natasha to avenge his father's defeat in the mayoral election. His father had lost to Natasha's father (the current mayor), and Rahul sought revenge by killing the mayor's daughter. He used the river location to make it look like Sunny was responsible, since Sunny owned land near the river.
Mohit's fate remains ambiguous. After knocking Rahul unconscious and driving Drishti to the police station, an inspector claims Mohit has committed suicide. However, Drishti insists he was waiting in the car outside, but when she looks, he is nowhere to be found. The film leaves his disappearance unresolved.
Sunny was suspected because he owned the river near where Natasha's body was found. The police believed he might have killed her, especially since he was already known for his violent behavior and had been harassing Drishti and her family. His ownership of the river property made him a logical suspect.
Drishti has the rare gift of glimpsing the futures of people around her. Through Tarot card readings, she sees visions of events that will happen to her clients. Her vision of Natasha's death, seeing her hanging by a river, proves accurate and becomes crucial to solving the murder case.
Mohit confronts Sunny after Sunny harasses Drishti's son at school, calling Drishti a witch and threatening the family. Mohit also investigates Sunny's criminal activities and ends up in a violent confrontation with him, after which Sunny disappears from Drishti's life temporarily.
Rahul's engagement to Natasha was a cover for his revenge plan. He used his position as her fiancé and as the school principal to get close to her. His true motive was to hurt the mayor (Natasha's father) by killing his daughter, avenging his father's electoral defeat.
ACP Ranbir Singh takes over the murder case after Natasha's body is found. He does not believe in Drishti's psychic abilities and is inclined to view Sunny as the culprit, even as the real killer (Rahul) remains free. His skepticism creates tension in the investigation.
Rhea Trehan is repeatedly beaten by her husband Sunny, who subjects her to domestic violence. Drishti witnesses this abuse when Rhea becomes her Tarot client and pleads for help. Sunny's violent nature extends beyond his marriage to also harassing Drishti and threatening anyone who tries to help Rhea.
Drishti has a psychic vision of Natasha's death, she sees her hanging by a river. She informs Rahul (Natasha's fiancé) about this vision, which leads the police to the riverbank where they discover Natasha's lifeless body, confirming her foreseen fate.
