Drishti, Bipasha Basu, is a young widow blessed with a rare gift: the ability to glimpse the futures of the people around her. After a breakup with her long-distance lover Manav, she moves to a quiet, remote village where she crosses paths with Mohit, Suniel Shetty, an eccentric car mechanic who bears the scars of years of abuse from his father. Mohit develops a crush on Drishti, a sentiment she does not immediately recognize. To make a living, Drishti reads Tarot for locals, and one of her clients becomes Rhea Trehan, Neha Dhupia, a young woman who is repeatedly beaten by her husband, Sunny, Dino Morea. Rhea pleads for help, and Drishti agrees to assist.

One day, when Drishti’s son returns from school, he is harassed by Sunny, who sneers that Drishti is a witch and orders him to stay away. Sunny also breaks into their home and presses Drishti to stay out of Rhea’s life. Mohit confronts Sunny in a violent clash, after which Sunny is absent from Drishti’s life for a time. Life seems to settle, until Natasha Singh, the mayor’s daughter, goes missing. Natasha Singh, Amrita Arora, becomes the focal point of a new investigation, and her fiancé Rahul, Sanjay Dutt, asks Drishti for help. Drishti has a vision of Natasha’s death—she sees Natasha hanging by a river—and informs Rahul, leading the police to Natasha’s lifeless body.

Sunny’s ownership of the river near the death site draws suspicion, and the case lands in the hands of ACP Ranbir Singh, Rajat Bedi, who doubts Drishti’s gift and is inclined to see Sunny as innocent. The investigation takes a darker turn when Rahul emerges as the real murderer, driven by a desire to avenge his father’s defeat in the mayoral race. Mohit springs into action, knocking Rahul unconscious, and drives Drishti to the police station. There, an inspector reveals Rahul’s confession but also claims Mohit has killed himself, though Drishti insists Mohit is waiting in the car outside. When she looks, however, he is nowhere to be found.

Amid the twists and revelations, the thread of justice and protection reels Drishti through fear, doubt, and the lure of danger. In the end, through a mixture of vision, courage, and an aching search for truth, Drishti is reunited with Manav, reuniting the arc of love she thought she had left behind. The narrative binds together personal trauma, a small-town web of power and fear, and a fragile hope that truth, however late, can still surface.
