In Los Angeles, two flight attendants, Jenny and Paula, prepare for their flight to Nashville. They go through security checks and finalize boarding preparations at the airport gate, setting the stage for a tense adventure ahead.

At the airport gate, Jenny tries to engage with a frequent flyer named George, who dismisses her friendly gestures as controlling. This awkward interaction foreshadows the tensions that will unfold during the flight.

As passengers board the plane, an eclectic mix of characters is introduced, including Captain Forrest, co-pilot Wilson, and several unique passengers. Among them are the elderly couple Bev and Sylvester, the latter struggling with Parkinson's, adding depth to the flight's dynamics.

The flight takes off smoothly until Ralph, a heavyset golfer, is bitten by one of Henry's hamsters. This incident sparks chaos as Ralph's condition deteriorates quickly, leading to panic onboard.

Ed, a baggage handler, comes to the group's aid, offering them access through an employee entrance. This unexpected help gives the survivors a glimmer of hope as they try to subdue the fiercely escalating threat presented by Ralph.

As the group struggles to contain Ralph, the realization sets in that they are dealing with a form of 'super-rabies'. The implications of this infection become evident as they witness friends turning against each other, driving home the horror of their situation.
