Portrait of Jennie

In 1934, Eben Adams, a financially strapped painter in Manhattan, crosses paths in Central Park with a enigmatic girl named Jennie Appleton. Moved by her beauty, he sketches her from memory, and this simple act sparks a quiet, strange connection between them. An art dealer, Miss Spinney, previously bought one of Eben’s paintings but tells him that his work often lacks feeling; yet she privately confesses to her partner that she sees real potential in him, hinting at a belief that his art could one day carry true emotion.
