PC is a sentient dog housing a language translation program. He translates any language or sound into plain English, a tool he uses to help Zac decipher a series of clues. Originating from Iceland with Alex, PC becomes a loyal ally to Zac's family after Alex’s death and remains essential in the search for the missing money. The film ends with PC sharing a moment with Cordelia, his canine companion.

Zac is a 14-year-old narrator who moves to Sydney from Melbourne with his mother Amy, stepfather Stephen and sister Binky. He discovers the mysterious floppy disk and gradually partners with PC to unravel the clues. Anja is Alex’s former assistant and the antagonist who steals his money and murders him. She relentlessly pursues PC and the hidden fortune, using Sibelius to threaten and hunt them.
