Look Who's Talking Now

As the spirited puppy journeys through the city, it navigates a world filled with challenges, scavenging for food alongside homeless individuals, until it is eventually captured by animal control and taken to the pound. Fate takes a turn when James, during a visit to the shelter with his son Mikey, discovers the very puppy on the verge of being euthanized. Touched by the pup’s desperate situation, they choose to adopt it and name it “Rocks,” a playful nod to the chaotic aftermath of a previous cab ride.

In the midst of this, Samantha learns of Mikey’s wish for a canine companion and surprises the family with a beautifully trained purebred poodle named Daphne. With an air of superiority, she observes Rocks with disdain as they are introduced. Enchanted by Samantha’s generous gesture, James and Mollie find themselves agreeing to keep both dogs, which complicates their already hectic schedules.

Rocks quickly becomes a source of frustration for Mollie, wreaking havoc by chewing her favorite shoes and leaving messes throughout the house. Daphne, reveling in her newfound superiority, cunningly frames Rocks for the destruction of Mollie’s new footwear, leading to a frustrated outburst from Mollie, who declares that she can’t tolerate Rocks’ antics any longer.

Meanwhile, James is called to work on Christmas Eve to transport Samantha to a private estate in upstate New York. This arrangement leaves him stranded there, waiting for her to return. Unfazed, Mollie, along with the kids and both dogs, sets off on an adventure to find Samantha’s whereabouts.

Their escapade takes a drastic turn when Mollie’s car veers off the road. Instinctively, Rocks recognizes James’ scent and dashes off in search of him, while Daphne takes it upon herself to find help at a nearby ranger station.

Eventually, James realizes Samantha’s manipulation as Rocks rushes in, leaving a playful mark on her leg. They exit the house, unaware that Daphne has already summoned assistance. As they navigate the wilderness, they unexpectedly encounter a pack of wolves, prompting Rocks to spring into action and protect James, leading to a tense standoff.

Back at the ranger station, Mikey spots what he believes to be Santa Claus approaching. In reality, it’s just James, who cleverly sends out a distress signal using his beeper. As Rocks arrives, seemingly sent by fate to distract the wolves and clear the path, the radio crackles with a message from Santa himself, rekindling Mikey’s faith in the beloved figure. Filled with gratitude for James’ bravery and a heartwarming moment of reconciliation with Mollie, Rocks finds his rightful place back in the loving family he fought to protect.
