Ilamparithi is a grounded, old-fashioned executive officer who lives on the ground floor with his wife, Selvi, and their daughter, Aparna. On the first floor, Eeshwar, a 28-year-old IT professional, shares the house with his pregnant wife, Aathika. The two families start off with a sense of quiet coexistence, each respecting the other’s space in a building that doubles as a small, domestic battlefield.

The trouble begins with a simple matter that grows into something much bigger: a parking space. Ilamparithi has claimed the parking area for years, since the house’s previous tenants never owned a car, and he views the space as his own domain. Eeshwar, eager to make life easier for his wife and newborn future, buys a car to improve their daily commute. What should have been a practical convenience quickly becomes a personal contest. The parking dispute escalates through a sequence of petty incidents that steadily poison the atmosphere. Ilamparithi goes so far as to sell his motorbike and buy a car himself in a bid to prevent Eeshwar from using the parking space, turning a simple annoyance into a public, ongoing feud.

What starts as a quiet quarrel among neighbors soon morphs into a public standoff. The two men spar openly for control of the area, their confrontations spilling into the street and casting a shadow over everyone around them. The friction intensifies when Ilamparithi insults Eeshwar’s mother during a confrontation, and Eeshwar lashes out with a slap in return. The act of violence marks a turning point, revealing how far each man is willing to go when pride and hurt collide.

Seeking revenge, Ilamparithi and his brother-in-law manipulate Aparna into filing a false harassment case against Eeshwar. The accusation leads to Eeshwar’s arrest, a dramatic setback for his young family. Yet Aparna, wracked by guilt over the consequences of her actions, withdraws the complaint, and Eeshwar is released. The cycle of retribution continues as Eeshwar counters with a bold accusation of bribery against Ilamparithi, claiming a ₹30,000 bribe. The accusation results in Ilamparithi’s suspension, a stain on his reputation and a reminder of how easily reputations can be shattered by accusations in a charged environment.

Despite pleas from Aathika, Selvi, and Aparna to cool the feud, the conflict remains heated. Ilamparithi takes a drastic step by weakening Eeshwar’s front tire, creating a dangerous moment when Eeshwar tries to drive Aathika to a routine checkup. The near-accident deepens the personal rift and pushes the families toward a breaking point. In response, Eeshwar retaliates by wrecking Ilamparithi’s car, a dramatic gesture that underscores the depth of their anger and the fragility of their coexistence.

As tensions mount, Selvi and Aparna choose to leave the house, signaling a collective exhaustion with the endless conflict. At Aathika’s urging, Eeshwar begins the painful process of finding a new home and, with a reluctant sense of reconciliation, tries to approach Ilamparithi to end the feud. The moment of potential peace is cut short when Ilamparithi knocks him out in a surge of anger. In a cruel twist of fate, Aparna goes into labor, and Eeshwar rushes to the hospital to support Aathika as she gives birth.

When Ilamparithi returns home, Eeshwar, now with even more at stake, confronts him violently. In a bold and dangerous final act, Eeshwar contemplates killing Ilamparithi by heating his mobile phone in a microwave and orchestrating a gas leak—an attempt born of desperation and rage. Yet the revelation that Ilamparithi had helped Aathika in a time of need shatters Eeshwar’s resolve. Horrified by the thought of taking a life, he switches off the main power to avert a potential disaster, choosing restraint at the last moment.

The two men, once bitter adversaries, find a way to acknowledge their failings. They apologize for their actions and recognize that the parking dispute could have been managed with more restraint and communication. The families eventually move out, and the owner of the house begins the search for new tenants on a condition that adds a final ironic note to the story: tenants who do not own a car. The film closes on a quiet, sobering memory of how a single, seemingly trivial issue can spiral into a life-changing conflict, and how moments of mercy and understanding can offer a path back from the brink.
