Julia Banks finds herself embroiled in a harrowing situation as she becomes the prime suspect in the murder of her dangerously obsessive ex-boyfriend, Michael. During a visit to a local farmer’s market, chaos ensues when Tessa undermines Julia’s efforts at parenting by asserting her authority over Lily.

The tension escalates as Julia confronts Tessa about her meddling in David’s life. Attempting to reconcile, they have a lunch together where Tessa makes shocking claims about David’s suspicions of her infidelity. As the web of deceit grows, Tessa cruelly punishes Lily, and in an alarming turn of events, she attempts to frame Julia for attempted murder after a staged fall down the stairs.

In a twisted climax, Tessa, portraying Julia, attempts to lure Michael to the house under false pretenses, resulting in a violent confrontation where Julia is forced to defend herself, ultimately leading to Michael’s brutal death. In the aftermath, Julia is interrogated by the police but is released as the investigation broadens. While initially supportive, David’s faith in Julia wavers upon seeing the incriminating evidence against her, prompting him to confront Tessa.
