In a distant future, society is sharply divided into two main classes: the affluent 'superiors' and the struggling 'inferiors.' This stark contrast sets the stage for the central conflict in Uma's life, as her privileged existence blinds her to the struggles of those less fortunate.

Uma, a young girl from the superior class, faces an unwanted arranged marriage to Son, another superior. Despite her privileged upbringing, her heart belongs to Markus, a young man from the inferior class, complicating her life further.

To prepare Uma for her expected role as the perfect daughter, her mother sends her to Paradise Hills, ostensibly a finishing school. However, this institution is a façade for a facility dedicated to behavioral modification and manipulation.

Upon arriving at Paradise Hills, Uma wakes up disoriented, with no memory of how she got there. She quickly meets new friends, including Amarna, Chloe, and Yu, who share similar stories of parental pressure and forced conformity.
