Earl Knight dies in a bizarre construction accident after witnessing a vision of the Kingdom of Perdition—the world the Antichrist would rule. His findings hint at a larger conspiracy, though his death leaves crucial questions unanswered. The tragedy underscores the danger surrounding Delia's lineage.

By this time Karen has given birth to her son, Alexander, and the Yorks welcome a new nanny, Lisa Roselli. The family dynamics become more conflicted as Delia's influence grows around the infant. The presence of Lisa adds to the mounting tension.

Karen receives Earl Knight's letter detailing Damien Thorn and reveals that Dr. Hastings is a Satanic disciple. The letter connects Delia to the broader lineage of the Antichrist. Karen begins to understand Delia's true significance within the prophecy.
