As the evening of Hamilton High School’s 1957 prom reached its climax, Lisa and Brad found a moment to escape the festivities and savor a connection of intimacy. However, their romantic interlude was violently disrupted by the arrival of Father Jonas, a maniacal religious zealot driven by a warped sense of morality, who unleashed his madness upon the unsuspecting couple. The night took a dark turn as Lisa’s desperate screams were silenced by Father’s metal crucifix, leading to Brad’s harrowing fate. In the aftermath, Father Jonas revealed the trauma he had endured at the hands of the church, his words dripping with twisted justification as he displayed the stigmata symbolizing his inner demons.

Fast-forward three decades, and Father Colin became responsible for keeping an eye on the now-comatose Father Jonas, who had been in a drug-induced slumber at St. George Church for thirty-three long years. Struggling to adjust to his new duties, Colin inadvertently neglected Jonas’s medication, allowing the madman to slowly awaken to reality. This act of misguided compassion led to catastrophic consequences, as Jonas escaped, taking Colin’s life, and retreated to the shadowy confines of the abandoned St. Basil Seminary.

Once a sanctuary for nurturing young minds, St. Basil was now a playground of horrors waiting for Mark, Meagan, Laura, and Jeff, a group of friends who ventured there to celebrate graduation. Unbeknownst to them, they were about to become mere pawns in Father Jonas’s cruel game. As the friends reveled into the night, they soon realized the modern amenities had been stripped away, leaving only echoes of the past as ominous signs of what was to come. The sinister presence of Father Jonas loomed large as he claimed another victim—Jonathan, Mark’s younger brother, who innocently followed them into the depths of despair.

Amidst the chaos, a nightmarish phone call shattered Meagan’s sense of security, as Mark had gone missing. Seizing this opportunity, Father Jonas infiltrated their sanctuary through an old entrance, a gruesome act transpiring as he hunted down Laura. The chilling realization dawned on Mark and Meagan when they stumbled upon what they believed to be Laura, only to discover it was Father Jonas donning her scalp, showcasing his depraved madness. One by one, the friends fell victim as Jeff met a gruesome end, his skull crushed by Jonas’s bare hands.

In a gut-wrenching turn of events, Meagan and Mark faced the horrifying sight of their friends crucified and engulfed in flames. With fear creeping in, Meagan tried to alert the authorities, while Mark geared up for a confrontation with Jonas. However, fate dealt a crushing blow when Father Jonas injured Mark, leaving him at the mercy of his tormentor. As Mark succumbed to his injuries, Meagan knew she must do whatever it took to survive.

Desperate for salvation, Meagan temporarily incapacitated Father Jonas with bug spray, seizing the opportunity to arm herself with a gun and scavenge for ammunition. Venturing to the woodshed, she managed to shoot Jonas, believing she had delivered a fatal blow. Yet, the nightmare was far from over as Jonas resurrected, leading to a climactic confrontation amidst flames fueled by his twisted rituals. In a bid for survival, Meagan unleashed her fury upon Jonas with a shovel before barricading herself inside the shed, leaving him to meet a fiery end.

As Meagan awoke in an ambulance, her future hanging in the balance, a chilling twist emerged: Father Jonas’s charred remains were being transported by Cardinal Turint and his followers, only for Jonas’s eyes to flicker open at that very moment.
