Ocean’s Eleven

Professional thief Danny Ocean is released after four years in a New Jersey prison and travels to Los Angeles to reunite with his old ally Rusty Ryan. They immediately start formulating a plan for a massive casino heist in Las Vegas and begin lining up a crew and backing. The tone is cautious but confident as they set their sights on the big score.

They head to Las Vegas to secure financial backing from Reuben Tishkoff for a multi-million dollar job. The plan targets three casinos—the Bellagio, Mirage, and MGM Grand—by exploiting a massive underground cash hold. The crew weighs risks and begins mapping the heist.

Danny and Rusty recruit eight accomplices: Frank Catton, Saul Bloom, Virgil and Turk Malloy, Basher Tarr, Livingston Dell, Yen, and Linus Caldwell. They construct a precise replica of the Bellagio vault to practice the heist and assign members to infiltration or surveillance roles. The training helps them map security routines and staff patterns.

Linus Caldwell learns that Benedict is dating Danny's ex-wife Tess, creating tension within the crew. Rusty contemplates pulling the plug on the plan while Danny remains determined. The personal stakes weigh on the professional scheme.

Danny reconnects with Tess and encounters Benedict, who has shut him out of his casinos. Tess is still hurting from their failed marriage as Benedict tightens his control over the venues. The team presses forward despite the personal obstacles.

The operation begins as Danny enters the Bellagio and is detained by Benedict in a surveillance-free room. Bruiser, secretly allied with Danny, watches the scene and prepares to influence events from inside. The team sets the stage for the vault assault.

Danny reaches the vault elevator via the air vent and teams with Linus, who has infiltrated as a state gaming official. They move past guards with careful deception as the plan tightens. The two plot the descent into the vault together.

Saul Bloom, disguised as a wealthy foreigner, convinces Benedict to secure a briefcase containing jewels—an explosives payload in disguise. Yen is smuggled into the vault in a casino trolley to facilitate entry. The stage is set for the vault assault.

Basher Tarr triggers a stolen EMP device that disables power across Las Vegas, including the laser grid guarding the elevator shaft. Danny and Linus descend to the vault entrance while Yen provides crucial support. The blackout enables the team to begin removing cash.

Danny and Linus neutralize guards and, with Yen's help, destroy the vault locks and secure over $160 million in cash. Rusty coordinates the external timing of their escape, and the team executes the extraction with deft misdirection. The success hinges on precise planning and nerve.

Benedict launches a counterattack as investigators swarm to retake the vault. The crew's work seems compromised when the money in the van appears to be destroyed, and a SWAT-style sequence unfolds. It is later revealed that the footage was faked and the heist's success remains intact.

Several months after the heist, Danny is released from prison and picked up by Rusty and Tess. They drive away together, seemingly free, but Benedict's men tail them, hinting at ongoing consequences. The crew has gone their separate ways, but the score is complete.
