The story opens with Raghu, a passport officer in Chennai, admitting to an affair with a coworker from a Goa trip. Shanthi is furious and immediately leaves for her mother's house, outraged by the betrayal. Raghu's remorse is sincere, but his plea for reconciliation cannot stop the marriage from breaking down.

Vijay blames Shanthi for the marital trouble and Suriya blames Raghu, fueling ongoing bickering between the two families. Amid the tension, Vijay falls for Akhila and Suriya falls for Asha, complicating loyalties further. The two brothers' contrasting reactions deepen the rift between Raghu and Shanthi.

Raghu finds a bundle of cash and meets Muthukumaraswamy, a businessman wanted for forex fraud. Muthukumaraswamy seeks a fake passport to flee the country, but Raghu refuses and alerts the police. Enraged, Muthukumaraswamy vows to exact revenge on Raghu for obstructing his escape.

Raghu and Shanthi move forward with a Hindu law divorce. The court awards custody of their daughter Sona to Shanthi, formalizing the separation. This custody arrangement sets up emotional stakes for the upcoming search for Sona.

Suriya takes Sona to a festival fair where she becomes separated from the family. In the confusion, Sona tumbles from a Ferris wheel and is rushed to the hospital for treatment. After she recovers, she is brought back to Raghu's house.

Doctors reveal that Sona has lost her hearing due to the accident. The family grapples with this new challenge while navigating the fractured relationships. Sona’s return to Raghu’s house marks a fragile step toward normalization.

Suriya discovers Sona is missing, and Raghu asserts she is staying at his sister's house, clashing with the court’s custody arrangement. A heated conflict erupts as loyalties are tested and the truth about Sona’s location grows murky.

Shanthi and Suriya arrive at Raghu's house with a lawyer to retrieve Sona. Raghu collapses from a serious asthma attack in the bathroom, and everyone scrambles to help him. After he recovers, Raghu reveals new information that changes the course of the dispute.

Raghu reveals that Sona has been kidnapped by Muthukumaraswamy, who is out on bail. He also admits that he previously issued a fake passport to delay Muthukumaraswamy's escape. Raghu and the family resolve to prevent the criminal from fleeing and protect Sona.

Raghu, Suriya, and Vijay join forces to track Muthukumaraswamy as Sona is found in a van with Maya and Kachiram. A tense pursuit unfolds as the family races to intercept the criminals before they reach a safe haven.

Inside the van, Maya and Kachiram plan to plant a bomb in Sona's hearing device. Maya fights to protect the child while Kachiram resists; Suriya and Vijay close in and confront the criminals. Suriya retrieves the hearing device and carries Sona toward safety, thwarting the immediate danger.

At the airport, Deputy Commissioner Kanthaswamy arrests Muthukumaraswamy, ending the immediate threat. Suriya and Vijay reconcile with Raghu and Shanthi, and the family unit reunites with Sona, restoring friendship and harmony to their lives.
