Siri, Trisha Krishnan, grows up as a traditional rural girl in Andhra Pradesh, raised by her devoted elder brother, Sivaramakrishna, [Srihari]. Their world is shaped by a painful family history: twenty years earlier, their wealthy father remarried, expelled the children and their mother, and left them to fend for themselves. After their mother’s death, a young Sivaramakrishna shoulders the burden of caring for Siri, who later pursues an education that leads her to an engineering degree in a nearby town.
Behind the quiet fields and steady routine lies a dispute over land and memory. Sivaramakrishna secures a grave for their mother on a small plot of farmland they inherited, but the Zamindar Muddu Krishnayya, [Narra Venkateswara Rao], asserts ownership of the land because of an unpaid loan. Muddu Krishnayya demands that the grave be removed, but Sivaramakrishna pleads for time to repay the loan, proposing to work the entire estate day and night so long as the grave remains intact. The local station master, [Venkateswara Rao Paruchuri], agrees to watch over the arrangement and protects Sivaramakrishna’s commitment. Slowly, through unflagging labor, Sivaramakrishna turns the farm around, lifting Siri from poverty and giving her a chance at a future.
In the present, Siri’s life intersects with new faces. Lalitha, Siri’s old friend and confidante, invites her to get ready for Lalitha’s wedding, and Siri reluctantly agrees to travel two weeks ahead of time. On the same day, Santosh, a cheerful young man raised in London by wealthy parents, arrives with his mother Janaki, and with him comes Prakash, the family patriarch. Santosh, played by Siddharth, and Siri, the humble farm-raised girl, find themselves drawn to each other despite their different worlds. Siri’s friend circle expands as Santosh and he mother meet Siri’s life—Janaki, Geetha, who is stern about social status, and Prakash, Prakash Raj, the family figure who holds to traditional expectations.
Janaki does not approve of Siri’s background, and she sees Santosh’s future as aligned with Dolly, the wealthy daughter of her brother’s business partner, JP. Jayaprakash Reddy plays JP, a man whose influence looms large. Dolly is introduced as a possibility for Santosh’s future, a match Janaki believes can elevate the family’s status. The tension in the air thickens when Krishnayya, Muddu Krishnayya, and his allies complicate the picture, with Dolly and JP pulling strings to steer Santosh away from Siri. Siri’s loyalty to Santosh is tested, and Sivaramakrishna’s sense of duty is tested as well, even as he watches the situation threaten to tear the siblings apart.
On the day of the wedding, Janaki confronts Siri and Sivaramakrishna, and their dignity is humiliated in the face of aristocratic intolerance. Sivaramakrishna, moved by love for Lalitha, steps away rather than escalate the conflict, allowing Siri to leave with him. Santosh, deeply committed, refuses to abandon Siri, returning to plead with Sivaramakrishna to accept him. The station master again lends a hand, urging Sivaramakrishna to give Santosh a chance, just as he was given one during Siri’s childhood.
To prove himself, Santosh undertakes a grueling challenge: he must cultivate more grain than Sivaramakrishna by the end of the season. The task is brutal for a city boy unaccustomed to farm life, but his determination grows with each passing day, and he learns to work the land with patience, humility, and a genuine love for the simple village life. Sivaramakrishna, initially wary of the wealthy outsider, begins to see the depth of Santosh’s devotion to Siri, even as Krishnayya’s and JP’s schemes intensify.
The antagonists press hard, kidnapping Siri in an attempt to force her into a marriage with Krishnayya’s son. A fierce confrontation erupts as Sivaramakrishna and Santosh rush to rescue her. In a moment of frenzy, Santosh acts to defend Siri, stabbing Krishnayya’s son. Sivaramakrishna, moved by the sacrifice and the truth of Santosh’s love, takes the blame for the murder to protect their future.
Five years pass. Sivaramakrishna is released from prison and finds Siri and Santosh waiting at the village gate, wedding attire in place and a quiet faith in the future. Janaki makes amends for her earlier treatment, paying respects to Sivaramakrishna and expressing gratitude for his sacrifice. The film closes on a note of reconciliation and joy as Siri and Santosh celebrate their marriage, surrounded by family and friends who have walked a long road to this moment.
