Tobey Marshall runs a garage in Mount Kisco, New York, after inheriting it from his late father. Together with his team, which includes his protégé Little Pete and skilled mechanic Joe Peck, they struggle to maintain the business while participating in underground races at night.

Tobey's old rival, Dino Brewster, visits the garage with a lucrative proposition. He wants Tobey and his team to finish building a rare Ford Shelby Mustang, offering 25% of its staggering estimated auction value of $2 million.

Despite his concerns about Dino's past with his ex-girlfriend and their rivalry, Tobey agrees to the project due to financial pressures. The team works diligently to complete the Mustang, showcasing their skills as they finish the legendary vehicle.

At the auction for the Mustang, Tobey meets Julia, who offers an incredible $3 million if the car can hit 230 mph. Undeterred by Dino's objections, Tobey pushes the car to 234 mph, successfully sealing the deal and tantalizingly upstaging Dino.

As they travel, Tobey and Julia face a heart-stopping chase through Detroit. They successfully reunite their crew, leveraging Julia’s resourcefulness and Finn’s tech skills to infiltrate the De Leon race.

In a reactionary move, Dino places a bounty on Tobey, offering a rare Lamborghini Sesto Elemento to anyone who can stop him. This intensifies the stakes as Tobey's journey becomes increasingly dangerous.
