On exam day, he becomes overwhelmed by the stress, the question paper, and insults from a friend and an examiner. He breaks into uncontrollable laughter, triggering the condition that will be known as Pseudobulbar affect. The episode destabilizes his life and foreshadows ongoing struggles.

The uncontrollable laughter follows him to various places, straining relationships and daily life. Ankitha ends the relationship, believing he cannot control the condition. Gandhi's social world shrinks as his condition becomes a stigma.

Gandhi consults psychiatrist Veerabadhran for his condition. He reveals the constraint of a sacred talisman that prevents him from sharing his problem with others. The doctor discusses management options while acknowledging the social stigma surrounding his disorder.

Gandhi's close friend Dilli Babu is heartbroken because Priya is marrying someone else and contemplates suicide. Gandhi and his friends set out to locate him and provide support to avert tragedy.

A feared local gangster named Dilli Babu holds Minister Thangadurai's hard drive for safekeeping, with Sakaradas as his rival. Sakaradas secretly orders Nelson and Manikkam to kill Dilli Babu and steal the hard drive.

Gandhi and friends book an Ola to file a missing-person report, but Nelson and Manikkam arrange a car to the gangster's party. The two cars converge at the same pickup point and the group boards the wrong vehicle toward Dilli Babu's birthday party. The henchmen end up at a police station amid suspicion.

At Dilli Babu's birthday party, the suspected henchmen are mistaken for Sakaradas's men. Dilli Babu assaults Gandhi, but Gandhi's laughter disrupts the confrontation. Police arrive, arrest Dilli Babu, who vows to teach Gandhi a lesson.

Sakaradas praises Gandhi's fearless moment that helped his arrest and offers support. He unwittingly helps reunite Gandhi with Ankitha, and her parents give their blessing for the wedding. The alliance reshapes Gandhi's personal life and social standing.

Gandhi and friends locate the real Dilli Babu, who is at Priya's wedding venue and plans to end his own life there. They rush to intervene and prevent tragedy. The moment heightens the stakes for the group.

As the wedding venue unfolds, gangster Dilli Babu arrives with his men to confront Gandhi and Sakaradas. Gandhi's condition persists, but he manages to prevent the suicide and diffuse the immediate danger. The gangster realizes Gandhi is not a fearless brute but someone coping with a disorder, and he lets Gandhi go while the hard drive is handed over to him.

Dilli Babu concedes Gandhi's condition and hands over Minister Thangadurai's hard drive to him, hoping he will effect change. Gandhi absorbs the weight of responsibility, recognizing that real courage means managing his disorder and helping others. The moment reframes his role in society.

Back in the present, Gandhi explains to the interviewer that he overcame his problems by wearing a mask and pretending to be fine amidst adversity. He suggests this is how many people navigate life, hinting at a universal coping mechanism. The film closes with a note on resilience in everyday existence.
