Mystic River

Three inseparable friends from their childhood—Jimmy Markum, Sean Devine, and David Boyle—find their lives irrevocably changed after a traumatic incident in their youth. While playing stick hockey in a rough neighborhood of Boston, the boys write their names in wet cement, a lighthearted moment that’s soon shattered by the arrival of a man claiming authority, who targets Dave. He is taken away amidst the boys’ fearful protests, marking the beginning of a haunting past that they cannot escape.

Fast forward 25 years, the trio has drifted apart, each grappling with their respective demons.
