My Spy: The Eternal City

After the events of the first movie, JJ, Sophie, and Kate relocate to Langley, Virginia. JJ transitions into a desk job as a CIA analyst, while also taking on the role of a mentor to Sophie, who is keen to become an agent herself.

Sophie, now a high school teenager, begins to feel frustrated with the constant training sessions imposed by JJ. Although JJ acts as a father figure, Sophie struggles to see him in that role, leading to a distance in their relationship.

JJ directs a mission with field agent Christina, who successfully gathers intel on over 100 Soviet-era WMDs located in Europe. However, disaster strikes when Christina is ambushed by a spy, who kills her and steals the vital information.

Sophie learns that her high school choir has been chosen to perform at a G7 event in Italy. Excited for the opportunity, she plans to ask her crush, Ryan, to the homecoming dance during the trip.

JJ accompanies Sophie and their chaperones to Italy, including the vice principal Nancy and several students. His attempts to balance being a responsible adult and a cool parent prove challenging as he navigates the dynamics among the teenagers.

While sneaking out in Florence, Collin is kidnapped, causing panic among Sophie and JJ. JJ identifies the kidnapper as Simon Crane, someone he has a personal vendetta against after losing his army unit to him.

In Rome, JJ, Sophie, and David learn that the kidnapper demands access to the suitcase codes located at a military base. They devise a plan to break into an MI6 safe house to get the necessary equipment.

JJ, David, and Sophie successfully infiltrate the military base in Anzio. As JJ participates in a boxing match to maintain their cover, Sophie and Bobbi manage to download the WMD passcodes from the server.

The rescue mission takes a turn for the worse when JJ and David are ambushed by Crane, resulting in their kidnapping. They discover that Nancy has orchestrated these events from within the school and has ulterior motives.

Using her phone tracking skills, Sophie manages to locate JJ and Bobbi, allowing them to execute a rescue. They thwart Crane’s plan but learn that the threat has escalated with a bomb set to go off.

Discovering Nancy's plot, JJ warns Italian authorities about a bomb threat; however, it turns out to be a decoy. The real danger lies with Nancy targeting the Vatican as the choir prepares to perform.

During a tense confrontation inside the Vatican, JJ, Sophie, Bobbi, and Crane clash as they try to stop the bombing. They manage to recover the kill switch just in time, preventing a disaster.

Outside the Vatican, Collin cleverly pretends that Nancy is his abusive mother to prevent her from escaping. This brave act allows David and Connelly to apprehend her before she can flee.

After the chaotic events in Italy, Sophie confesses her feelings to Collin, realizing he is the one she truly cares for. They share their first kiss, signaling a promising new relationship.

Back in Langley, JJ, Kate, and David eagerly welcome their kids home after an eventful trip. But chaos ensues when parakeets unexpectedly escape from David's car, leaving JJ and David scrambling.
