Mulholland Falls

A group of four men, known as the Hat Squad, operates in 1953 Los Angeles, tackling the rampant issue of organized crime. Headed by Max Hoover, the team is made up of Ellery Coolidge, Eddie Hall, and Arthur Relyea. Using a wide array of tactics, they often resort to extreme measures to root out criminal elements, leading to some rather shocking actions, such as tossing a miscreant off a mountain and administering a deadly dose of heroin to another.

Despite their questionable methods, their superiors choose to overlook their actions, as the team consistently delivers results. However, while delving into the murder of a young woman, the team uncovers that she is none other than Allison Pond, a former romantic partner of Max. The situation grows even more complex when it’s revealed that Allison had numerous affairs and secretly recorded her encounters, including her steamy moments with Max.

Among her many connections is General Thomas Timms, a prominent figure leading the Atomic Energy Commission, who plays a crucial role in overseeing atomic testing security. As Max uncovers Timms’ hidden secrets, he begins to grasp the larger implications at hand, realizing that multiple parties are actively working to obstruct the discovery of the true identity of the murderer. The tension escalates as the Hat Squad gets closer to unraveling a web of deceit that threatens to shake the very foundations of their investigation.
