Before he kills her, he records a video on her phone in which she narrates how she secured a conviction for her client’s husband as a lawyer, a confession he broadcasts to a news channel, creating a chilling public indictment that fuels the pursuit to come.

A specialized team of investigators, led by Rangeela, is tasked with bringing the killer to justice. The Common Man maintains a daytime white-collar routine while quietly directing a small team that surveils the special forces and manages to eliminate one of their last agents, sharpening the war of wits between hunter and hunted. The pursuit becomes a high-stakes game that tests nerve, nerve, and nerve again as each move narrows the field.

At the center of the storm is Durga, a housewife who lives with her husband, in-laws, and a school-age child. Despite the domestic rhythm of her life, Rangeela sees in her the courage and acuity needed for undercover work, and he pushes her toward a dangerous assignment that could finally illuminate the killer’s identity.

Reluctantly, Durga agrees to step back into the fray. She explains that thirteen years of living with a carefully constructed cover have become her reality, and she fears this new mission could unravel everything. Rangeela, steadfast and practical, warns that a single misstep could expose moles and derail the investigation, yet he convinces her to take the leap in the name of justice.

Her first task concentrates on a puzzling exchange at Victoria Memorial around 8:30 pm, a clue that points toward a campus setting where a girl’s college becomes the frontline of the hunt. Durga balances household duties with forensic-level sleuthing, tracing a trail that leads her deeper into a world where appearances disguise dangerous intentions.

During the investigation, Durga encounters Ayesha, a neighbor who has rented a nearby house, and later enrolls in the same college course. The classroom becomes a crucible, and the instructor, Ajay Sir, looms large as a figure whose professional aura hints at a more perilous game than a simple lecture.

On the first day of class, Durga’s path crosses Ajay Sir once more, and she realizes that the Common Man’s reach extends into the very place she has come to rely on for answers. By day, she hones her undercover skills; by night, she threads a path through family life and the web of clues that may finally expose the killer.

That night, Durga discovers unsettling romantic chats between Ayesha and her husband, a revelation that unsettles her sense of reporting. Rangeela returns, offering new information, and motivates her to resume duty without pulling back from the danger at hand.

Ayesha’s true allegiance comes into sharper focus: she is a mole working for Ajay, who wants to tie up loose ends before executing what he calls his biggest job—the murder of the CM. The realization upends Durga’s assumptions and intensifies the stakes as she wrestles with how to proceed without tipping off the conspiracy.

Durga’s courage is tested again when Ayesha attempts to target her husband, but Durga intervenes and saves him, even though such an act puts her cover and her family at greater risk. The husband, startled by his wife’s transformation into an undercover operative, ends up in custody to preserve her cover, a brutal reminder of the cost of justice.

The confrontation escalates when Ayesha launches one final strike at Durga, but Durga outmaneuvers the threat and eliminates Ayesha, severing a crucial link in the killer’s deadly chain.

The next day, during a college performance attended by the CM, Durga spots Ajay fleeing the hall and quickly deduces that he is the Common Man, the architect of a final, explosive plan that would weaponize a bomb disguised as confetti. Durga acts swiftly to defuse the device, evacuate the hall, and corner Ajay, publicly exposing him as the killer in front of witnesses and authorities.

With no credible evidence in hand to convict him in a traditional court, Ajay argues for a grim vigilante form of justice—killing him and recording a final video in the same provocative style. The CM agrees to this controversial measure, and the next day reports circulate that the Common Man is dead, a narrative that settles the chase in a violent, televised fashion.

Durga’s husband offers a hollow apology for his infidelity, yet Durga remains restrained, choosing not to embrace the explanation. Rangeela closes the chapter with a new mission in mind, presenting Durga with a fresh cover and a renewed sense that the hunt will continue in the shadows.
