An unidentified man calling himself The Common Man gains the trust of a beautiful girl, drops her at a secluded place, and brutally kills her. Before killing her he records a video from her phone where she narrates how she convicted her client's husband as a lawyer, which he broadcasts to a news channel. This brutal act signals the killer's publicized method and sets the tone for the chase.

A special force team led by Rangeela is assigned to the case, focusing on a killer who targets strong, independent professional women. They face pressure as the Common Man escalates his operations and even kills one of their last agents. The pursuit reveals the killer's method and the difficulty of building a prosecutable case.

Rangeela locates Durga, a housewife living a double life, and persuades her to go undercover to reveal the killer's identity. Durga hesitates, feeling her cover has become her reality after 13 years, but Rangeela convinces her to take the dangerous assignment. Her refresher training is refused to avoid exposing informants.

Durga's initial undercover assignment involves tailing a person who exchanges a packet near the Victoria Memorial at 8:30 pm. She follows the suspect into a girls' college, balancing domestic duties with the mission. The precise timing demonstrates the killer's meticulous planning.

Ayesha, a woman who rents a house next door, becomes part of Durga's world as she begins a course at the same college. Durga's husband mocks her pursuit and tries to control her, a conversation overheard by her mother-in-law who advises on supporting her ambitions. The domestic sphere begins to influence the undercover work.

On the first day of class, Durga encounters Ayesha again and soon comes face-to-face with Ajay Sir, revealed as the Common Man. The college setting becomes the arena for the undercover operation as she begins gathering information. This encounter marks the start of a tense cat-and-mouse dynamic.

Durga hones self-defense with her son's toy guns and video games, sharpening instincts while continuing household duties. She tries to trace the killer and understand his patterns. Ajay uses political connections to invite the Chief Minister to an art performance, a move Rangeela sees as a strategic opportunity.

Durga accidentally reads romantic chats between Ayesha and her husband, which unsettles her progress. She stops reporting to duty, and Rangeela visits to reassure her involvement in exchange for updates on her husband's messages. Personal and professional lines blur as trust is tested.

Ayesha is unveiled as a mole working for Ajay, aiming to tie loose ends before the big job. She mistakes Durga's husband for an undercover agent and lures him to a hotel to eliminate him. Durga learns of the danger and prepares to intervene.

Durga acts in the nick of time to rescue her husband during the hotel confrontation, while the husband remains shocked but is kept in custody to protect the undercover operation. Ayesha attempts to kill Durga later but Durga defeats her, removing the threat and clearing the path to the final reveal.

The next day, during a college performance attended by the CM, Durga spots Ajay leaving the hall and realizes he is the Common Man. The target is the CM, with a bomb disguised as confetti planned for detonation. Durga defuses the device, evacuates the hall, and corners Ajay to expose his true identity.

Ajay claims there is no credible evidence that would hold in court, implying he would be free even after exposure. Durga contemplates lethal justice, and the CM consents to this drastic measure. The following day, news reports that the Common Man is dead, signaling the end of the manhunt.

Durga's husband apologizes for his infidelity, but she rejects the sincerity of the gesture. Rangeela assigns her a new mission with a fresh undercover cover, renewing her fight against crime. The case concludes, but the cycle of undercover justice continues.
