Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind

Earthrealm has become a wasteland due to undead revenants and territorial annexations by the Black Dragon clan. Isolated cities are under the control of Kano and his clan, with Kano declaring himself king of these territories. The landscape is bleak and dangerous, reflecting the chaos following the downfall of Mortal Kombat's previous heroes.

Kuai Liang, the former Sub-Zero, lives as a farmer after abandoning his title. His peaceful life is disrupted when Kabal, Kira, and Kobra raid his farm, stealing supplies before they enter a nearby city. Kuai Liang's skills are showcased when he defeats these assailants in combat.

Kabal, Kira, and Kobra threaten a young warrior named Kenshi in the city. Kenshi defeats them but chooses to spare their lives, prompting them to flee. Later, they return with Tremor and Shang Tsung, setting the stage for future conflicts.

Kenshi publicly announces himself by his full name, revealing his heritage. Shang Tsung's attention is piqued when Kenshi's surname, Takahashi, is mentioned. Tremor defeats Kenshi in combat, but Shang Tsung intervenes and spares his life, marking the beginning of their complex relationship.

Shang Tsung, under the alias 'Song,' tells Kenshi about the powerful Sento sword capable of defeating Black Dragon. Kenshi is lured to the desert, where he discovers the Well of Souls. When he opens it, he is blinded by energy surges, and Shang Tsung absorbs this energy to rejuvenate himself.

Despite being thrown into the Well of Souls, Kenshi hears the Sento sword speak telepathically. He manages to grab the sword and escapes the well's trap. The sword enhances his senses and helps him begin his journey to fight the Black Dragon.

Shang Tsung attacks Kano, killing several Black Dragon members but is eventually slain by Kano. Kano reveals he anticipated Shang Tsung's betrayal, hinting at his own scheme to gain power. Shang Tsung's attempt to consume Kano's cybernetic soul fails, revealing Kano's unique resilience.

Kuai Liang finds the wandering Kenshi in the desert and takes him in. He trains Kenshi by enhancing his senses, revealing his painful past where he destroyed his own clan to end the revenant threat. Kuai Liang's actions set Kenshi on his path of rebellion.

Kano forces his way into another city, prompting Kenshi to advocate for helping the townspeople. Kuai Liang opposes this, leading to a confrontation. Kuai Liang's victory offers Kenshi a final chance to abandon his fight, but Kenshi chooses to continue fighting and is captured.

Kuai Liang burns his farm to summon the revenant hunter Scorpion and reclaims his identity as Sub-Zero. Together, they aim to free Kenshi from captivity and confront the Black Dragon clan to end their reign of terror.

Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Kenshi confront and eliminate the remaining Black Dragon members in the city. They decapitate Kano, but he survives and rushes to Kronika's Hourglass to activate an alternate timeline, unleashing a revenant infestation to boost his power.

Kano is killed by Sub-Zero before he can use the Hourglass to erase Kenshi. The chamber's entrance self-destructs to seal the timeline and prevent further chaos, ending Kano's scheme for domination. This marks the victory of Earthrealm's defenders.

Having fulfilled his mission, Kuai Liang leaves to the Netherrealm to secure the safety of Earthrealm. Kenshi is appointed as the new protector of Earthrealm and takes on the responsibility of defending against future threats. The event signifies a new chapter for the heroes and Earthrealm.
