In this secluded world, Salim bonds with a wounded beagle puppy named Hitler, nursing the animal back to health with patient care and a growing sense of responsibility. The world outside begins to intrude again when Parameshwaran Burma—a streetwise figure who co-owns Rathnam Atho Shop with his mother—reconnects with Salim after they once worked under Daali, a merciless loan shark who leaves a deep mark on the community. The relationship between Salim and Burma becomes a quiet, uneasy friendship as Salim watches Burma wrestle with loyalties, debts, and a longing that mirrors his own concealed feelings.

The corrupt DSP Surla makes his presence felt by publicly humiliating Daali at a toll plaza, a cruel publicity stunt that foreshadows a brutal tug-of-war between law and crime. Daali, smarting from this humiliation, threatens Raghavan—the father of Sowmya—and demands repayment of a loan through any means necessary, even if it pushes him to force Raghavan to swallow poison to keep a promise. Meanwhile, Sowmya files a formal complaint against Daali at Surla’s station, turning the case into a public test of power, justice, and accountability.

Back in Chennai, Thavapunniyam traces Salim’s former commander, who has relocated to a horse ranch, in an attempt to uncover Salim’s whereabouts. He does not reveal Salim’s location, confirming that the hunt remains open and dangerous. Burma, who harbors one-sided affection for Sowmya, brings Salim to her home, and Salim reveals a piece of his past when he hands Burma an unsigned love letter—an act that deepens Burma’s already intense attachment to Sowmya and to Salim’s fragile humanity.

Daali’s henchmen strike at Burma’s hotel the next morning, abducting Burma under the pretense of leveraging his name to escape DSP Surla—a viral incident that further inflames Daali and compels him to retaliate. In a bid to restore fear and order, Daali orders Burma to publicly slap Surla, an act that unsettles the police and the public alike and underscores how fragile legitimacy has become.

As tensions mount, Burma confides in Salim, and the pair search for Hitler, who is found wounded once more. A veterinarian reveals the animal’s injuries were inflicted intentionally, and when Salim reaches Sowmya’s home, he discovers Sowmya and her sister have been brutally attacked. At the hospital, Sowmya confronts Surla about the inaction that allowed these assaults to unfold and accuses the police of neglect, especially after discovering that her father’s scooter, once used to meet Daali, may be connected to foul play in his death.

In retaliation, Salim targets Daali’s men and abducts six of them to avenge Burma and Sowmya, as well as the dog Hitler. He intervenes when Daali plans an attack on Surla, hanging one of Daali’s top henchmen along with five other mannequins on a mall terrace, a stunt that humiliates both Daali and Surla and sparks a fierce manhunt for the perpetrator. Salim sends Hitler’s image and photos of the beaten henchmen to Sowmya, delivering a moment of grim reassurance and a hint of hope.

The Captain, Captain Prabhakaran, learns that the enigmatic 2223 may still be alive in the Andaman, while the Chief—Chief—presses to maintain the mission’s legitimacy, insisting that Antony must be neutralized. The Chief races toward the Andaman to terminate Salim, not knowing that the hunter may become the hunted.

Daali’s gang presses Burma for the name of Salim’s ally, while the police track Sowmya’s scooter as Salim takes a food-delivery job to blend in and circles Daali’s residence, hoping to safeguard Sowmya’s life. A mounting suspicion falls on Salim as Burma distrusts him for handling the scooter, but Daali’s men are foiled when Surla and his officers close in. The chase reveals Salim’s watch, left as payment to the veterinarian, and Salim deftly escapes, only to land in the crosshairs of Surla’s hired goons.

In a tense showdown, Salim explains that he was the one who attacked Daali’s men and now fights to protect the people he cares about, including Sowmya and Burma. Daali tracks Salim through Raghavan and defeats him in front of Sowmya, but Surla arrives with the police to broker a grim, lethal conclusion: Daali will be killed for his crimes, while the law quietly engineers an arrest for murder on Daali’s behalf. Burma rescues Salim once again and ferries him away, only to be captured along with Salim’s mother by Daali’s goons.

Salim then returns to save them, engaging Daali in a brutal confrontation and overpowering him. He challenges Daali to confront the true cost of revenge and asks whether Daali ever imagined a future beyond wealth and power. Daali, wracked with regret, even tries to drink poisoned coffee, only to discover it’s harmless. The tactical strings tighten as the Chief, acting on orders from the Captain, shoots Salim with a Remington rifle, signaling an end to the immediate pursuit and leaving the door open for a possible sequel.

In the aftermath, Daali, his remaining followers, Burma, Sowmya, and those who stood by Salim mourn his apparent death as his body is ferried away. The minister refuses to accept that Salim is gone, clinging to the belief that the story is merely a rumor. A final call between the Captain and the Chief reveals that Salim’s injury is only a gunshot wound, reigniting the possibility that his story might continue on another day.
