The Gray Man

The movie opens with Court Gentry, a convicted murderer, imprisoned in 2003. He is visited by CIA recruiter Donald Fitzroy, who reviews Gentry's background and offers him a chance to join the Sierra Program. This marks the beginning of Gentry's journey into covert operations.

Eighteen years later, Gentry operates as CIA assassin Sierra Six in Bangkok. He is tasked with eliminating a target known as Dining Cart, while being monitored by superiors Carmichael and Brewer. During the mission, Gentry hesitates when a child appears, leading to a confrontation with Dining Cart.

After killing Dining Cart in a fight, Gentry learns from the dying man that he is actually Sierra Four. Dining Cart gives Six a necklace containing critical information that could expose corruption within the CIA, specifically Carmichael’s misconduct.

Gentry denies having recovered anything off the chip and contacts Fitzroy in Baku, suspecting Carmichael's corruption. Fitzroy agrees to investigate, setting the stage for Gentry’s pursuit of truth and justice amid mounting CIA manipulation.

Carmichael enlists ex-CIA agent Lloyd Hansen to hunt Gentry before he exposes the conspiracy. Hansen, a sociopath, begins torturing a man in Monaco and eventually kidnaps Fitzroy’s niece Claire to lure Gentry into a trap.

While being transported in Chiang Mai, Gentry fights off the extraction team, causing their plane to crash. He then contacts Fitzroy, learning Hansen has Claire, prompting Gentry to prioritize rescuing her.

A flashback reveals two years earlier in London, where Gentry and Fitzroy meet Sierra handler Cahill. Gentry babysits Claire, bonds with her, and defends her from assassins breaking into Fitzroy’s home, showcasing his protective side.

In Vienna, Gentry seeks Sosa’s help to escape and rescue Claire. However, Sosa betrays him, dropping him into a trap in exchange for a bounty. Hansen’s team kills Sosa, and Gentry escapes with Miranda’s help.

Gentry and Miranda arrive at Cahill’s safehouse in Prague, where Cahill reveals the chip contains evidence of Carmichael’s corruption. Hansen’s assassins attack, forcing Gentry and Miranda to fight for their lives, culminating in Cahill blowing up her apartment.

Gentry locates Claire at a hospital using her pacemaker signal. As Lone Wolf attacks, Gentry fights him and tends to his wounds. He then joins an assault in Croatia to rescue Claire and Fitzroy while fighting off Hansen’s reinforcements.

During the final assault, Fitzroy stays behind to cover Gentry and Claire’s escape, sacrificing himself by detonating a grenade along with enemies. Claire mourns her uncle’s death as they escape from danger.

Hansen captures Claire and chases Gentry through a hedge maze, taking her hostage. Gentry fights Hansen in a fountain and, after a fierce struggle, Hansen is shot dead by Brewer, who reveals her own agenda to cover up the corruption.

Carmichael and Brewer meet with higher-ups to cover up the events, destroying the chip to avoid repercussions. Gentry escapes captivity, exposing their conspiracy, much to their dismay as they try to control the situation.

At a secret location, Claire hears gunfire and is rescued by Gentry, who finally frees her from danger. They escape together, symbolizing Gentry’s victory over the corrupt system and his commitment to protect her.
