Krypton faces cataclysmic destruction due to its unstable core, a result of the reckless depletion of its natural resources. The ruling council is overthrown, setting the stage for chaos and despair across the planet.

General Zod, a military leader, seizes control and forcibly removes the ruling council amidst the turmoil. His actions set off a chain reaction that ultimately leads to the planet's tragic fate.

In a desperate attempt to save his son, Jor-El and his wife Lara place their infant Kal-El into a spacecraft bound for Earth. They embed his genetic codex within him, aiming to ensure the survival of the Kryptonian race.

Following Kal-El's departure, Jor-El is confronted by Zod, who murders him in cold blood. Zod’s reign of terror continues as he and his followers are subsequently imprisoned in the Phantom Zone.

The instability of Krypton's core leads to a massive explosion that obliterates the planet. This catastrophic event liberates Zod and his crew from their captivity, setting them on a collision course with Earth.

Kal-El, now Clark Kent, is adopted by Jonathan and Martha Kent, who provide him with a loving home on Earth. As he grows, Clark grapples with the extraordinary abilities granted to him by his Kryptonian heritage.

As a teenager, Clark discovers his superhuman powers, which alienate him from his peers. Jonathan Kent advises him to keep his abilities a secret, adding to Clark's internal conflict regarding his identity.

Clark's turmoil intensifies following the death of Jonathan Kent. This tragic loss leaves him feeling more isolated and searching for purpose in a world where he feels like an outsider.

As an adult, Clark embarks on a journey across the country, taking up various jobs while secretly performing heroic acts. His quest for self-discovery leads him to confront his true calling.

In the Arctic, Clark discovers an ancient Kryptonian scout ship where he meets a holographic Jor-El. Jor-El teaches Clark about his heritage and the responsibilities that come with his powers.

Journalist Lois Lane investigates the phenomena surrounding the scout ship, unwittingly stumbling upon Clark. Despite initial skepticism, she becomes determined to uncover his true identity.

Zod and his crew, still plotting revenge, track a Kryptonian distress signal to Earth. Zod's mission revolves around retrieving Kal-El, believing he holds the key to restoring his people.

Zod devises a sinister plan involving a Terraforming world engine aimed at reshaping Earth into a new Krypton. His actions threaten the annihilation of humanity in an effort to extract Clark's genetic codex.

After thwarting Zod’s transformation of Earth, Superman confronts him in a climactic battle over Metropolis. Their fight escalates, culminating in a harrowing moment that forces Superman to make a devastating choice.

In the aftermath of the battle, Superman begins working with the U.S. government while still maintaining his secret identity. Balancing being Clark Kent and Superman, he seeks to establish himself as a beacon of hope.
