Vijay studies at Good Shepherd High School and lives a privileged life in a small scenic town under the protection of his uncle, who is the Inspector General of Police in Bombay. He forms a close friendship with Raj Malhotra. These early ties set the stage for future events.

When they mature, Vijay marries and Raj also marries Shanti. At his uncle's insistence, Vijay relocates to Bombay, where he eventually becomes the Police Commissioner.

Raj, Shanti, and Raj's brother Sanjay relocate to Bombay to reunite with Vijay. They join Vijay as he rises in the police ranks, forming a tight circle in the new city.

Sanjay falls for Jenny and desires to marry her, while Mahesh also wants Jenny for himself. Kedarnath, a wealthy and influential man, engineers an arranged match to pair Jenny with Mahesh.

On the wedding day, Sanjay steps in, humiliates Kedarnath, and marries Jenny. This shocking turn reverberates through both families.

That night, Vijay arrests Sanjay and places him in a jail cell. The arrest shocks everyone and marks a rift between the police and the in-laws.

The next morning, Sanjay is released and returns home to find that Raj and Shanti have been killed. He understands this as a betrayal that must be avenged.

Sanjay swears to avenge his brother and sister-in-law and to uncover why Vijay betrayed Raj. This vow marks the start of a violent mission.

Sanjay learns Kedarnath killed Raj and Shanti and confronts Kedarnath, challenging him to be killed in the same place as the murders. He vows to finish Kedarnath, along with his accomplices.

Sanjay launches his killing spree, starting with Mahesh on the night of New Year's Eve. He continues to target Kedarnath, Inspector P.K. Dubey, and Nanunbhai Chatewala as the saga progresses.

Sanjay chases Inspector P.K. Dubey in the meat market, cuts him down, and hangs him from a metal hook. This brutal act escalates the vendetta and signals the depth of his rage.

Sanjay learns that Kedarnath lured Vijay to Ganesh Chaturthi to get him killed, and he rushes to the festival to intervene. He confronts Nanunbhai Chatewala and kills him in hand-to-hand combat.

Sanjay lures Kedarnath to his industry to finish him in the same way as the earlier murders. The police force led by Vijay arrives to stop him; in the chaos Vijay is shot while saving Sanjay. Sanjay then shoots Kedarnath to death.

After Vijay recovers, he and Sanjay are emotionally united, closing the rift that sparked the violence. The brothers move forward together, having faced their past.
