Kishen Mohan Girhotra, a young man from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, harbors dreams of becoming a singer. He is filled with hope as he plans to share his original songs with a local IAS officer to gain recognition.

Kishen's attempt to deliver his music takes a dark turn when he has a violent confrontation with the IAS officer. In a fit of anger, he publicly curses the officer, unaware that this act will have dire consequences.

The next day, Kishen learns that the IAS officer has been murdered. This shocking revelation turns his world upside down as he becomes the prime suspect in the officer's death.

Accused of murder, Kishen is arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment. His conviction is based on the coerced testimony of a friend, propelling him into the grim confines of Moradabad Jail.

As the victim's family pushes for the death penalty, Kishen is transferred to Lucknow Central. This prison holds new challenges and an unexpected opportunity for Kishen.

At Lucknow Central, Kishen meets Gayatri Kashyap, an NGO worker who wants to start a musical band of inmates for an upcoming competition. Kishen sees this as his chance to revive his dreams and pleas for her to form the band.

Kishen bonds with four other inmates, convincing them to join his band. Dikkat, Victor, Purushottam, and Parminder realize the band could serve as a cover for their escape plans, uniting them under Kishen's leadership.

During their first band practice, discord reigns as the inmates struggle to harmonize. At the same time, their jailer grows suspicious of Kishen's true intentions for forming the band.

Despite the chaos, the band begins to gain popularity as they perform. Kishen, however, remains focused on proving his innocence rather than pursuing personal glory, even as others capitalize on their newfound fame.

Intrigued by Kishen's plight, Gayatri investigates his wrongful imprisonment. She discovers irregularities in the case against him, but Kishen is hesitant to share details about that fateful night.
