As the year 1977 begins, a secret government meeting reveals a dire message from the Antareans. They warn of a sinister force known as the Worg, which poses a significant threat to Earth's existence.

In response to the Antarean warning, a powerful battle suit is developed and sent to Earth. A child named Adam is meticulously trained from birth to take on the mantle of the Champion of Earth, destined to defend humanity from the Worg.

Fast forward thirty-eight years, Officer Anthony Hagan finds himself in a chaotic party environment. During his attempt to arrest Zach Spencer, fireworks are irresponsibly launched, leading to a UFO crash nearby.

Amidst the chaos following the crash, Hagan, Zach, Woody Johnson, and Herman Mendoza each accidentally obtain a piece of the extraordinary battle suit. Unbeknownst to them, donning these fragments grants them unique powers.

The ensuing chaos attracts the military, which quickly attempts to regain control. Colonel Emory is then prompted to enlist Adam, the now-trained Champion, to prepare the new heroes within a tight four-day timeframe.

As the group begins to learn about their newfound abilities, the Worg retaliates by deploying tiny robotic insects. These creatures start transforming soldiers into relentless hunters, zeroing in on Hagan's daughter, Mindy.

When the military attempts to remove the battle suits, the four heroes use their powers to escape the hospital. Their escape leads them to Hagan's ex-wife's secluded cabin, where they hope to regroup.

While attempting to connect with Mindy via Skype, the group inadvertently reveals their location. As Mindy, now under Worg control, attacks them, they must subdue her to stay safe and regain their strategy.

In a volatile moment during negotiations with the Worg, Zach impulsively removes a device from Mindy's neck, triggering a massive explosion. The cabin is obliterated, leaving the group as fugitives from the transformed soldiers.

Upon returning to their alma mater, Zach and Mindy are shocked to find an Antarean spacecraft suspended in a forcefield. The Worg's battle cry reverberates, signaling the beginning of their fight for survival.

During the chaos, Hagan considers surrendering, but Adam steps in to lead the team to safety. They finally find a way into the stadium, where spectators are amazed by the extraterrestrial activity above.

The team devises a plan to commandeer a police vehicle to breach the forcefield surrounding the Antarean stronghold. Inside, they confront a Worg warrior who signals a tournament to determine the fate of planets.

In a final attempt to turn the tide, Adam tries to use riot gear for a diversion, but is tragically killed by the Worg's dark matter beam. This loss fuels the team's resolve to harness Worg technology and fight back.

The confrontation between Lazer Team and the Worg escalates into a chaotic battle. Dark matter beams spiral out of control, leading to a malfunction of the suits and dumping them outside the forcefield while the Worg meets its end.

With the Worg defeated, the crowd erupts in celebration, but Colonel Emory's grave expression suggests that their struggles are far from over. Lazer Team is called upon once again as the fate of Earth remains uncertain.
