Jane finally remembers the night of the killings: Patrick reaches the house, Susie hides, and he begins to molest her. Jennifer, Jane’s mother, who also works as the antiques clerk, arrives, and a violent confrontation ends with Jennifer killed by a hammer. Patrick chases Jane; she and Liam collide on the stairs, Liam dies, and Jane is left injured.
